Its part of what determines who wins, if both players played perfectly then the game would he a draw. Saying "I should have won 5-1" is just kind of meaningless because at the end of the day, he did not win, he made mistakes and lost, that's how people lose

He insults Danya's play throughout the first half of the video even in games he wins. Constantly saying he's playing poor moves but somehow it's Hikaru blaming himself blundering when Danya outplays him. Then keeps talking about how the score should be 3:1 when Danya actually is winning games. You're right, I couldn't make it to 45:36 because he wouldn't stop being an egotistical brat who can't admit to his opponent playing well, and want to act like it's himself. "He's Bad, I Blundered." 20 minutes is more than enough for me.

Despite the rhetoric, Hikaru is not a streamer first. He is a professional Chess player first. He's playing Danya a blitz match, which he has done millions of times before, and now he starts talking about how the situation would depend on if the game is classical, rapid, or blitz. He is completely preoccupied with the upcoming candidates tournament.

I believe if he had to decide between professional chess player or streamer he would choose streaming. Also I dont think any of us get to put any definite statements as the truth especially since he has said himself that he is streamer first. Why not listen to him? Being streamer first doesnt mean he doesnt take chess as seriously or that he doesnt participate in tournaments or that he suddenly drops quality of his play (on the contrary i think the motivation and support that streaming gives him lets him play even better).

After white pawn takes bishop, black has Qg5 check, white has to block with a Queen on g3 otherwise white gets mated. Then black takes rook on f1 and when king recaptures, black has Qc1 check and then captures rook on b2. Idk if he actually calculated it but its astonishing how they are aware of next moves.

Danya s endgame is not very good that s why he is barely a 2600s in classical and he will never be 2700. the reason why Danya never won a match vs Hikaru in blitz or Bullet is because of his poor chess understanding. He will never be a super GM. He might be charismatic and all but he is not a strong chess player unfortunately. He lost to a female IM in USA Master last year ad the poor man keep losing rating points every tournament he play in.
