My question is - do you really not need the flanging/de-burr tool for the end of the heating pipes?

This is a terrible video to be fair. There is so much wrong with it. - O-Rings/Gasket seals provided are discarded on 2 occasions (2:11 [IsoValve Female part], 7:56 [Pump]). - I know the seals do the hard work, but for lubrication if nothing else, a bit of PTFE wouldn't go amiss. - It is usually better to fit the manifold to wall first then build out, so all that spinning (9:08) can't be done if it is up against a wall (though its still easy to fit it by turning the connector on the manifold). It would have been good to show this. The rig is too heavy at the end for her to even manoeuvre it and she drops one of the components whilst trying to screw it in (09:39). - Even the eurocone pipe-connector was assembled incorrectly. She had to rely on threading the cap on via the other end of the pipe (15:03). Try doing that after you have laid your UFH! (It made me laugh mind you...). - The editing is messed up. At 8:49 she has finished assembly, but then assembles it again at 8:50, still making all of the same mistakes. Given that it is an instructional video (presumably only aimed at a DIYer, since a pro would know this stuff), it might be worth having another go at it, in my opinion. Its almost better to NOT have the video, and just say 'read the instructions'. Hopefully nobody copies what is being done here and understands that it is a very rough guide. Unfortunately, it doesn't really add much to help a user that isn't obvious from the drawings, but could potentially mislead people into thinking they don't need to use the rubber seals etc.

8:50 is her installing it the other way round. However, she missed what you have to do to with the big hex bolt to be able to move the lower part from right to left. (It's in the instruction manual) I am a DIY'er and I bought this kit. As you say it could do with being re-done and with a voice over instead of that repeating annoying music.

Ah, didn't notice that it was reversed with the 2nd one, but as you say, almost pointless if you leave out the hex bolt bit. I'm also a DIYer and fitted 3 of these, with 2 reversed. Video did little to help, but hopefully with our comments, others will figure it out, or they'll be encouraged to do something better.
