ABSTRACT:
The project can detect any fault in underground cable from base station in km.
In urban settings, electrical cables are routed underground to avoid adverse weather effects like heavy rainfall, snow, and thunderstorms. However, when faults occur within the underground cable network, pinpointing the exact location for repair becomes challenging. The proposed system effectively identifies the precise fault location, streamlining the repair process for specific cables.

Sir while implementing in real life adding checkponints every 1km could be more costlier, how we can get an exact location if the fault is detected more than 6 or 7 km. how we can get the exact location , by which process. can u explain please? it's our viva question in the presentation .

This project uses an arduino microcontroller, a buzzer, and an LCD. This proposal significantly lowers time and operates efficiently. Underground cabling systems are a prevalent practise in many urban locations. Many defects emerge as a result of construction activities and other factors.
