To answer your question about why people might be annoyed at the way you're mining I think its probably one of the following - You're mining inefficiently. I won't elaborate because I want you to have fun discovering this game. Trust me discovering it for yourself is the most amazing thing. - You've left ores behind - You slowly look at different things and spend time randomly evening out lines - Instead of tunneling down in just a really simple staircase pattern you dug some really weird tunnel. The easiest way to dig down is to just dig a descending step pattern 1 block wide. - maybe you saying "Look how deep this is!!!" (The reality is you've not gone deep at all lol) - could be just how slowly you're going - could also be using a controller Regardless I wouldn't listen. People are just weird when it comes to seeing someone not know how to play a game that triggers a kind of bossiness backseating behavior.

Most of the time it does come from a good place it's just not always fun for the person playing to constantly be told want to do unless they ask. And yes sometimes i also think to my self, wow why does he not know. But man i wish i could start at Zero with Minecraft and explore everything on my own. @Let's Play Easy Mode May just a little tip for mining, what i did back in the days was to place torches to the wall on my right so i can find the way back. If you want to go back you just need to follow the toches that are on the left side then. I think you get what i mean :) lets get back o your video there are still 7 Episodes for me to watch :)

Don't be afraid to fight monsters. You have a sword for a reason! Some monsters don't disappear during daytime. And all monsters can hide under blocks to escape from the sun. While not all monsters will go away during daytime, monsters will not continue to appear during daytime. Monsters can only spawn in darkness, so if you light up your hill with torches, monsters will not appear there during the night.

Just keep in mind that the most important thing about Minecraft is to have fun and not rush things. If you want to get more recipes for copper items, you gotta make a block of copper. The cave you found isn't anything too crazy. The walls were just sandstone because you're near a desert. Also, you mentioned caves would have an entrance, but that's not always the case. Caves can generate in all kinds of ways. Remember that big hole near your house? That might be a good place to check out. And that brush might be something good to bring in the desert temple

Build. A. Fence. That's how you protect your house from creepers. No higher priorities. You may be the only minecraft player ever whose first enemy kill was a creeper haha. Don't worry about mining, you'll get better at it. It's a matter of optimizing your time spent mining for better yield, i.e. by mining at a lower elevation, having fast access and getting the most chance for exposed ore per block mined (makes a massive difference), things to think about. :) It's difficult to watch because the time spent could've earned you a lot more ore and a lot of us have done so much mining that optimizing it is second nature. Running from creepers in caves with a controller is far more dangerous than fighting them as it takes so long to turn. Also running to your house just endangers your house. "How many monsters are there down there?" That's not how it works. They spawn based on light level. Enemies spawn in dark places at a certain distance away from you. Monsters don't just "go away". If you leave the area they will despawn, or you can lure them out and fight them or in the case of skeletons let them burn in the sunlight. "This isn't obviously a naturally occurring thing" Hehe it's just a sandstone cave. If you really want to build then either swap to peaceful or make that fence and light up everything. Iron, bow etc are not a priority as fighting enemies doesn't stop them spawning again. Only light can stop the spawns and only defensive structures can stop them getting to your house. For sleeping the game doesn't know that you're in you're home. It just knows the distance to an enemy.

Fun fact: With copper you can craft a telescope to zoom in on points of interest. However, to craft this, you also need an Amethyst, a medium to rare purple gem found exclusively underground. Combining the bronze and the purple gives enhanced eye sight to all who seek it. While it cannot create tools or armour, it's a material that excels in obscure and fascinating creations. Copper can also craft doors, lightning rods to conduct energy, and many more crafts.

When a skeleton is hiding under a tree for shade, you can try to avoid their arrows by ducking behind the tree trunk. Get in a hit, then duck back again. You can keep circling around and after a few hits you will have defeated the skeleton. You can do it! And as others have said, light up your neighborhood to keep the bad guys from spawning near your home. :)

Hey! For mining, the main problem is that you're starting up from a tall hill! Thus the cave you have dug under have barely reached below sea level. I suggest an idea, explore around your world for an open deep cave! Set up a base next to it! Why dig all the way down, when nature can have done that somehwere already! As for monsters, they can appear in areas, that are not illuminated(hence they appear during night and deep in caves). If you lay around torches all around your base, then no monsters up there during night! Sometimes some of monsters survives during day, because they find shade below trees, thus evading direct sunlight... Creepers don't care though! p.s. A good defense against regular monsters is building up walls to block their path to you!

1:08:53 Keep in mind you're not going to encounter a solid plane of iron ore as you dig down. Iron ore spawns in randomly scattered clusters at almost every Y level. It is most frequent at Y=15 but only gradually decreases the further you get from that value (at Y=40 it's about half as common), and is not rare except at very high altitudes. I don't know why people are suggesting Y level 7 is best for iron, as that has not been true for quite a while. The fastest way to find iron is to expose as many blocks as you can (so long, narrow tunnels will be more rewarding than short, broad ones, though they won't look as nice), or keep seeking out caves (dig toward the sound any time you hear monsters or water) since they will already have a lot of exposed surfaces. Iron will _not_ spawn inside large blobs of andesite, diorite, granite, or dirt and does not spawn in sandstone; above Y 0 it only spawns in stone (the grey blocks that you mine to get cobblestone). All of that aside, keep digging downward! I'm eager to find out how deep you can get, and what exciting discoveries you'll make along the way 😁

I'm one of the people who said it is painful to watch you mine. But it's painful in a fun way. :) When you were digging down initially, you went all over the place. You appeared to have no plan and no order. It was great! There's no wrong way to Minecraft. I'm a very linear and organized person. It's good for me to see other people who do things completely different than myself. This is one of the reasons I'm so excited to see what you figure out and how you figure it. 24 minutes in: "Enough with the cliffhanger stuff. Lets go." - And the creeper said, "yeah, lets go!" Your clear awe at finding that cave is fantastic! I'm so happy for you to be able to experience this game. I'm thrilled to hear that you have big building plans. Your reaction to the underwater monsters was priceless. :) I'm very glad you didn't drown. BTW, Minecraft saves the game itself almost constantly. It doesn't say so on the screen but you can consider your game to be always saved. However that means you can't go back and load an old save. It's great to see your 'sphere of influence' growing. You started with just a little island and a tiny hut. Then you build a little house. Now you've spread your area of control down into some caves. I'm anxiously watching to see what you choose to work on next.

Good to know that it's quietly saving my game in the background!

I know I'm a few episodes behind, so you may have already worked this out, but just in case - You don't always have to go back to your base for things like crafting tables and furnaces. I recommend always having some cobblestone and wooden planks on you - that way, you can craft a Crafting Table and Furnace wherever you are, place them & use them, then pick them back up when you're done. This way you don't have to keep going home when you mine, for example. You could just craft a furnace, smelt up the ores you find, and immediately craft them into useful items such as armour! :) Hope this helps!

Here’s some tips and clarifications: -That yellow sand-like material is called sandstone and it’s just a natural block under desert biomes that requires a pickaxe to break -Most common hostile mobs burn in daylight such as zombies and skeletons. And some can’t like spiders and creepers and a few more. But if a mob is under a block like leaves, then it won’t burn -Instead of mining out big areas to find iron, I’d recommend searching above ground for big caves and slowly going in and lighting them up with torches and exploring them for iron and hopefully other ores -If you want a mob to go away, run far away from it and it will despawn, as long as you haven’t interacted with it but you can’t interact with most hostile mobs so you’re fine -Feel free to take things like beds or loot from villages, the villagers can’t attack you. They do have a mob called an iron golem that will attack you if you attack it or attack nearby villagers but it won’t get angry if you don’t do that Hope this helped and if I see anything else I’ll comment about it.

Creepers more annoying, have bad habit to creep up from behind you. Spiders usualy have habit make jumpscares. My advice to face monsters easier is go in caves or nighttime with food and definitely shield, not so expensive. About iron and rest of recourses... To get them go down deeper to coordinates Y 8 is best for searching for iron and for others even deeper, world is pretty deep i would say deepest you got so far is about Y51 which roughly is about 1/10 of how deep you can go. Sea level is Y64 or Y63, so we not so deep after all. Can't wait next episode. 😊😂👍

Don't worry about people being mad for you being slow. It's Minecraft so you can do whatever you want and however you want. I personally enjoy seeing non-pro gamer experiencing the game for the first time, all your noobness and hesitations before every step just add to the charm. Regarding pointers: monsters don't spawn in light and can't pass the fence, so lighting and walling off is your best bet for safety. Also you could try taming some animals by feeding them. Different animals like different food, so try it out until you figure out the logic. Creepers are scared of cats, so breeding yourself a coddle of cats could be beneficial. Cats are sus of people tho, so I recommend sneaking with tasty treats in order to approach them. Regarding your cave - it's adorable that you find it impressive, oh how much you have to discover still. Also shield is your friend, it'll make the game a lot easier. Put it in your second hand. Idk about the console version, but there's an advancements tab in menu (at least on java) that gives you pointers regarding further progression. Regarding iron - it spawns everywhere, as of 1.17+ strip mining akin to what you do is not the most efficient approach (though I personally like the meditative process behind it). It's best to just coast along an open mountain range or a big open cave/ravine. Keep up your vids, they're quite different to other playthroughs due to you being on console and not exactly hardcore gaming warlord.

Try exploring the world and finding structures. Here is some of them: Desert temple - a temple that looks a bit like a pyramid. There is a purple block in the middle. Stand on it and go two blocks in any direction then dig a few blocks down. You will find a room with four chests and a grey, stone pressure plate (don't touch it or you will explode and lose all your items) break it with your pickaxe and break the sandstone underneath. Collect the TNT and loot the chests. They can even contain diamonds! Village - you can find haybales there. Craft some wheat out of them. And then make a lot of bread using the wheat. Then loot all the houses. The villagers don't even use the items inside their chests and you won't get in any trouble.😉 The blacksmith's house can also contain diamonds and iron. Mineshafts - you can find them in huge deep (when you dig deep into the ground you will find a darker variation of stone) caves so first you need to find one. And I am talking about giant caves (for example 50*100*100) then see if there is some bridges made out of planks. That's the mineshaft you can encounter a few minecarts with chests and loot them for diamonds, iron and lapis lazuli. Tips on how to travel in caves: Make a bucket from three iron ingots and fill it with water. Place the water on the edge of a block (crouch so you don't fall of the block) and wait until the water reaches the bottom of the cave. Get in the water and swim down. Get back by swimming up and taking the water back into your bucket. Bridge by crouching and placing blocks on the edge (side wall) of a block. Do it until you reach your destination. You can also bridge up by looking down and holding space and right click at the same time. Build a staircase using those two methods. I hope i helped ❤

Caving is a lil hard when you're new, I remember dying a lot in these when I started, but once you get some armor and get used to fighting the monsters it's kind of nice finding little treasures in the walls. Copper is mostly for decoration, it's not worth getting unless you intend to build with it. You can't paint with the brush it's used for something else. I think what they find annoying is you break a lot of blocks like you make pockets, so some people are might find it inefficient, because most people just mine a small staircase down to find a cave, or a tunnel that's big enough to fit the player. Honestly you can ignore those comments cus you're just enjoying Minecraft you're you don't to min-max it. Monsters like Zombies and Skeletons(undead mobs) burn in daylight so they try find shade to survive, monsters like the Creeper( the ones that explode) and Spiders( these don't attack unless you attack them first on day time ) don't burn. Andesite, Granite and Diorite are great building blocks, you can make the fancy floors. You got that gunpowder from the monsters you just killed. 48:00 this is a desert surface cave, theres not much stuff here cus it's near the surface,( you might think that you are far underground but since you live on a mountain so you found yourself near ground level) 49:51 that's a mob you haven't seen one yet so I won't say what it is. You can do a critical strike, you just have to jump then hit them as you come back down, deals more damage.( I suggest going out at night with just a sword so you can get the hang of fighting them ) The fence is a good idea you should probably go with that, but if you light up the nearby area with torches they won't even spawn. Y level 7 is where the iron is most common, but you can find it every where. 1:15:54 you need a pickaxe to pick that up. 1:16:59 those guys are called "Drowneds" underwater zombies, when they hit you it drags you deeper down

It might be useful for you to look up how monsters spawn and despawn in minecraft. The longer you are in an area, the more monsters spawn. Also, there is a certain distance that if you move away from them will cause them to despawn.

14:20 You do mine real wonky. I don't really understand why you're going to the side and then dropping almost straight down only to do a line directly under your first one, cutting into your original staircase I think most people are used to just building a direct, diagonal stairwell down into the earth with the occasional landing that has some horizontal shafts in it. Those are usually more speedy to traverse, easier to navigate by memory, and efficient when it comes to finding ores since you're uncovering more new blocks as opposed to ones you can already see the face of. That said, what you're doing is generally fine. You don't usually want to dig out giant caverns - they're good when naturally generated because they can expose ores, but it's a waste of pickaxe life - but you're gonna get *enough* ores, I think. The most efficient way to stripmine is a grid of two-by-one little hallways, all three blocks apart, since most ore lodes are around 2x2 (or bigger), so you use the least pick possible while exposing the most ore possible.
@jimmyjuggalo420
@jimmyjuggalo420 3 ай бұрын
Oh tip for finding ore's they are very spread out so if you find some in one area you need to move at least 10 to 15 blocks away to try and find more ore

Yeah fighting, running away and overall normally fast paced actions are really not gonna be easy on controller as you will never have as much control as you have with mouse and a keyboard where you can do multiple actions at once. But you can't be afraid to fight them monsters which you have already started to do so good. They are really not that bad and after some time and of course better armor you will start to ignore them and almost not care about them (I am talking about casual, regular easy monsters). You got gunpowder from the creeper you killed, you need to pay attention to what drops from the mobs when you kill them, cause you haven't noticed some of them after killing the mobs. Good thing to know, spiders during the day (actually at certain high light level) will be neutral and won't attack you, once triggered however they will remain hostile, so technically if you keep a spider in the super bright place (however maybe don't try to do it for now since you may not lighten it up enough) you might actually have it as a pet. But that's just a random fun fact idea, totally useless but it sounds fun. About that cave... Yeah it was just a small cave, but it's most important you're curious and have fun. About you saying you were deep, actually you were still above surface level even xDD and you've seen nothing of the caves so you should be excited of what's to come... Or... Scared... In some certain scenarios... Anyway I'm hoping for you to finally go to that village and temple and actually explore more. Oh and you said you couldn't make a shield but well actually - you could, it was just planks and iron. It's fun to check recipies in crafting table from time to time to see what cool stuff you can make. I'm not sure how shield works in this edition (because normally you use it with right click to block on Java edition) and here it might be a little more complicated as you might need to crouch to block but I might be wrong as I don't know much about bedrock edition exclusive features. If you want to find more iron you should dig down deeeeper and find a big cave so there is exposed iron. There is also a lot of iron in high mountains so it is also an option. You want to aim at iron armor as much as possible to increase your probability of survival. The brush is used for archeology, when you're for example in a temple there might be a slightly different textured sand in there... Anyways good luck.

Such a strange mix of emotions watching you play with those cave creepers. One side of me is yelling at the screen: you have 4 swords...use one! The other side is saying: Lets see how he handles this. I am also 45 with a 9 year old daughter. We play Minecraft together all the time and watch your videos together as well. Some advice: if you are nervous about dying, empty your inventory into a chest prior to doing anything dangerous. Only carry the essentials for the job you trying to do. Also...if a creeper blows up the wall next to your chest (like it did in an earlier episode) your chest will also blow up and all your stuff will need to be gathered and put into a new chest. You have 5 minutes of gametime to collect stuff before it despawns. I would suggest making a fence around your house to act as a barricade, placing torches on the fence to light the area up. Put in some fence gates so you can go in and out, mobs cannot open fence gates. Make sure there are no blocks right next to the outside of the fence to avoid mobs from walking over the fence. Great videos, keep up the entertaining work!

Heyo bro! I just bingewatched all your previous minecraft playthrough episodes! It's been really fun seeing a new player grasp their way of playing the game. I have things that might help you in your progress so feel free to read it, hehe. Firstly, don't be pressured on how you play the game. It's totally fine to feel dumb sometimes, I know some people don't really like it when you miss things that are obvious for them but I get you, it's a new experience for you and most of the minecraft community enjoys genuine players. I really hate some youtubers trying to fake their contents and pretending to not know some things when they obviously researched beforehand. Now, about the mobs and what neutral mobs can repel them. Creepers are naturally afraid of cats and will flee if they see one. Wolves and dogs attack skeletons given that they're all bones. You can tame them by giving cats fish and giving wolves bones. Ocelots, which are found in the jungle are a type of cats and will turn into a normal cat once you feed them enough fish, as wolves will also turn into dogs when fed enough bones. They will follow you around unless to order them to sit down or you leash them somewhere. While zombies and skeletons burn in the sunlight, spiders and creepers don't so be careful when you go through the night without sleeping since they could spawn and will not die in the sunlight. Spiders will only attack you during the night though and will remain neutral in the day. Creepers on the other hand will still attack and blow you up during daytime unless you have a cat with you (btw, you get gunpowders from creepers which u can use to make TNT explosives). Also about the village near your place, it's definitely alright to take items on their chests, they won't be mad or make any difference on their trades and stuff. Who knows, it might contain ores and food which could help you. Also you can already make a shield with just one iron ingot and wood planks. Shields can block skeleton arrows when you crouch while using it. There are few ores you may find useful in the game. Iron is the very basic and a staple when it comes to daily uses in minecraft. Diamond is the most durable in the overworld that you may find, it only spawns in specific depths of the world, you may want to get a diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian if you want to make a nether portal. Redstone is for engineers and is the "technology" in the game, it's mainly used for contraptions and mechanisms (it's for bigbrains in short). Emeralds are found in high mountains like the mesa biome near you (the one that has orange terracotta and clays in it). Lapis lazuli are for enchantments, you'll need it in the future. I hope that my comment isn't too long to read and you find it helpful in your journey. Thank you for being so genuine and I enjoy all your minecraft contents and keep it up brother! Ps: If you ever need more tips, I'll keep watching so don't hesitate to ask and I'll lend you advice right away. Ehe, new subscriber btw, I really really enjoy your playthrough..

I dunno if this has been commented yet, but a hopper is a kind of funnel. You place it on top of a chest (or a furnace, or other blocks you will discover) so that items flow into it. You can access the inside of a hopper the same way you open a chest. (it has 5 slots inside it) The moment you place an item inside a hopper, it will flow down into the chest. You can also place a chest on top of the hopper so that item inside the top chest flow into the bottom chest. like this: chest hopper chest You place it by crouching, then aim your crosshairs on the top of a chest, then press the place button. If a hopper is not connected to a chest, it can still hold items, but only 5 stacks. At that point it's just a really expensive chest with only 5 slots. A useful application for this is cooking/smelting multiple stacks of items (ores like raw iron and raw copper, food, wood to turn into charcoal, etc) like this: chest hopper furnace hopper chest Items you place inside the top chest will flow through the hopper to be smelted. Immediately after being smelted, the finished product flows down into the bottom chest. You can safely leave your furnace while it's cooking everything while you're in the caves. Just make sure you top up on fuel and the furnace will keep going, sucking up all the items to be smelted

My husband and I (late 40's who play Minecraft together with our adult and teenage kids) just found your videos yesterday and Love them. Something so wholesome watching you experience the game. I've not read all comments of course. So thoughts on this last video. You are near the desert, which is why you will sometimes find underground SANDSTONE. That's just the type of stone that shows up right under deserts. Sheep will need to eat grass to grow back their wool. Shears will also use durability so use them wisely or they will break also. Creepers if they blow up in water don't do the damage they will on land. If in doubt make them blow up IN water. Mobs will despawn if you run far enough away. Mobs won't spawn RIGHT next to you either. That's why we light things up, and when we return the next time, there won't be mobs there :) The gunpowder was a drop from the creeper you killed. The rotten flesh came from the zombies. We like to do an iron mine at level 15. Good Luck!

I remember the disappointment when copper was introduced into the game, as it doesn't offer any alternatives to iron, in regard to weapons and defences. Caves don't necessarily have entrances. In fact, not many of them do that are deep down under the surface. Some have massive canyons with lava at the bottom of them, so watch out for those! The only trouble with putting steps down to caves is that it allows whatever it down there to use the same steps to come up! Something you have to be weary of. The solution is simple, though. You take one of the steps out, so they can't follow you once you've climbed up sufficiently to be able to do it. It's fine to be weary of mobs, but don't be too scared to retreat partially but then attack. The best way to keep mobs from your house is to illuminate the outside so they're less likely to spawn close to it. Having a boundary made from fencing also helps.

One suggestion that popped up when you were talking about being some to follow tasks or goals and I wanted to share something that I do for myself to help with this. Ok, so for the food issue...since you're having issues with iron (don't worry, happens more often than you think), you might consider just throwing down some seeds at the river and leaving it alone. Come back and farm it to grab wheat, then put the wheat in the crafting table for bread. Replant it when you do. That's by and far the easiest source of food in the game. Otherwise you'll have to continue resorting to killing your farm animals (which makes it tougher to find them later).

Torches, all around the hillside, torches. Mobs (monsters) spawn in a 24-44 block radius around you. They will attack you if they see you within 16 blocks. If you light up an area, say, 30 blocks all around your house and mine area, they won't spawn near you. P.s. The zombies and skeletons will not burn up if they are hiding under the trees. Get rid of the floating tree tops near your house. Especially the one between your house and mine entrance.

Idea: you can put torches around your house so when night comes, monsters can't spawn because there's light. Carpet can be placed on top of fences and you can use them to jump in and out of fences. I don't think animals can do the same unless you leave a block near the fence. Monsters might go in using the block near the fence to get in and surprise you. A fence gate can be a struggle when animals try to get out, especially if there's a lot of them in the fence. Farming wise, iron, maybe 3 bars can get u a bucket? You can get water, with it and you can plow the dirt with a hoe tool and then you can plant seeds (good for chicken) for wheat, good for cows and sheep. Carrots 🥕 for pigs, potatoes 🥔 that can be cooked into baked potatoes, and beetroot seeds...don't know much about them. Pumpkin and watermelon seeds might not need water but they need two spots, one seed and another for the fruit to grow next to it. Checkers or in lines, one seed, the other free, next one seed and so forth might be a good for those. Oh right, sugar cane has to be directly by water. Dirt and sand are plantable with sugarcane. Tree wise, jungle trees seems to grow in 4 at times, this means four jungle saplings together in a square, grouped can grow into a tall tree. You can chop it down by making a spiral stair with in. Example: chop second and third blocks on a corner, jump on the first block u left and chop a block up on the next corner of the tree, keep jump and chopping a block up and then at the top, you can go down and chop as you go down. Bamboo can also be planted without water anywhere, even in groups, crowded in a sense and still grow to be used for sticks. A fletcher, villager with a job because of a fletching table nearby can trade for sticks. Bamboo breaks vs having to manually chop a tree so stick trade with Bamboo can go way faster. Trading can give you emeralds (did I spell it right?) These can be mined but are a bit rare, they are stone blocks with green spots. You can use them to trade with wandering traders that have llamas with them. You can also use emeralds with other villagers. Don't hurt villagers or else Jeffery will be upset and chase you, not to protect you. 😅 Nice singing, don't thing I have heard the song before. 01:02:15

It's only "undead" monsters that burn in sunlight (and some of those even don't). If you're not comfortable with your gear (lack of armor etc.), and you didn't get a chance to sleep right at the start of the night, there's one easy way to avoid those monsters... take a quick run down to the village and back. Monster spawning and DEspawning is dependent on the distance from the player. Put a certain amount of space between you and they'll disappear (I forget the exact numbers, unfortunately, but that village is far enough away for complete despawning).

Again I know I'm very late to this, but I would actually recommend stone walls around your base, instead of wooden fences! A few reasons for this: 1) You already have loads of cobblestone, so it would be easier to do. 2) They function the same as fences (monsters and most animals can't jump over them, you can place torches or lanterns on top, and you can place carpet or trapdoors on top so you can jump over). 2) Cobblestone is more explosion-resistant than wood, plus fireproof!
