This is a story that needs to be told over and over again. The people in the South don't want this brought up and they want it to fade away because it's a stain on their ancestors. This woman is a national treasure. This is the real Savannah tour.

Nah we don’t care… we wasn’t responsible for it so why would we? Slave trade started long before us and throughout history blacks wasn’t the only slaves. Not to mention the slaves were sold off by their own kinds so which is worse?

I'm planning a trip to Savannah and had a look on Trip Advisor for tours on Black history in the city. It's pretty sad that this was the only tour of the sort. I think it's awful that most people want to pretend like slavery never happened, but I'm glad this tour exists. I look forward to going later this year.

the students from 1st to 8th grade are taken on a yearly pilgrimage to the savannah slave auction so they can be reminded they will always be victims and need white people to do for them. you will find the horror stories you are looking for because that is the fashion these days. blacks and whites can never get along so keep driving that wedge in. why not do a story on the current slave trade in africa today?

Each year Savannah attracts millions of visitors to its cobblestone streets, parks, and notable historic buildings. These buildings include the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low (founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA), the Georgia Historical Society (the oldest continually operating historical society in the South), the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences (one of the South's first public museums), the First African Baptist Church (one of the oldest African-American Baptist congregations in the United States), Temple Mickve Israel (the third-oldest synagogue in the U.S.), and the Central of Georgia Railway roundhouse complex (the oldest standing antebellum rail facility in the U.S.)

Don’t forget the mention that blacks wasn’t the only slaves and they was sold off by their own kings for guns and gold.. and don’t forget to mention that even though the Europeans were the last to participate, they was the first to end it..
@cdavis72553 жыл бұрын
Ballasts were used in empty ships or ships with low cargo. The cobblestone streets come from Madeira Island, Spain, Canada, France and the British Isles. It was not normal practice to use them in slave ships. They were unloaded by slaves and indentured servants. Slave ships were built in the North East. NYC was against the ending of slavery in South because they were made wealthy by the textile trade based on slavery in the South.

I agree but every single part of this world has some form of this history that’s asking how could anyone live in NYC with all its dark history hundreds of thousands killed and left under Central Park . Italy also has very dark history with slavery, and so much more. See when we don’t truly know our history we are doomed to repeat it. There is beauty in the pain sadly this is one of millions of stories.
