The Berthier was one I wasn’t sure about when it first got announced but immediately after trying it I ended up liking it, now it’s in rotation whenever I’m not feeling like being Lebel scum

Finally! The Berthier is my favorite long ammo rifle. It’s so versatile for solo play, and I personally like the Deadeye over the Marksman because you can still be aggressive with it inside compounds. I like running the New Army or a Handcannon Shotgun with it. A very powerful all-around loadout is the Berthier Deadeye with Drilling Handcannon (DumDum/Slugs). I was surprised you didn't split your ammo types, especially without bullet grubber. That is a big selling point for me, that that rifle can miraculously be unloaded to switch ammo and not lose rounds. Also, running an ammo box and two ammo types means you get even more ammo for it, up to 10 rounds instead of the normal 5.

Berthier is one of my favorite long ammo rifles. Ever since taking one off a hunter and running it non stop before the changes of unlocking every base weapon, it is a good work horse. But ammo count is the one thing that will get you killed easily if aren't paying attention.

I played the berthier for the first time tonight and ended up with 5 out of my team's 7 kills with two team wipes (1 duo, 1 trio). I had always thought the gun sucked but I was proven wrong very quick. Might have found a new favorite gun! Also the dead man's click near the tower in the woods in game 3 was a horrendous PTSD from Sea of Thieves days lol

This gun, is really underrated for a long ammo rifle. I got a friend, who doesn't like it, due the facr that, it loses all its remaining ammo, If you don't have bulletgrubber. I told him already so many times to either shoot the all 3 rounds or throw away one bullet, if he wants his fully reloaded gun, without wasting too much ammo. The Berthier Mle carbine, also reloads faster, than any other of bolt action action long Ammo rifles. In fact it's got the fastest reload animation, of all the bolt action rifles. Here are couple fun facts: The Berthier and the Lebel shoot the same 8mm R Lebel rounds in Real Life. The Berthier Mle is was designed to be a shorter alternative, to the Lebel rifle for the french cavalry.

You can also hold reload immediately after any bulletgrubber weapon shot to reload after you’ve cycled the empty casing so you don’t lose a live round. There are a few exceptions to this technique and it requires you to consciously do it but it helps sometimes if you’re looking to top up after using some rounds!

@@gloomygloomstalker3878 the Berthier, is as far as I know the gun, where it doesn't work to press the reload button immediately to save the remaining rounds in the mag. You always lose them. This technique, also doesn't work on Dolche and the Vornheim, because they semi-automatic firing pistols. So you gotta have bulletgrubber, to let no remaining cartidges go to waste

Make it easier for yourself by carrying two ammo types and switching as needed. Saves you the need of precious trait points and time

Absolutely underrated. I prestige about twice a month and pick a weapon from each category to run for the prestige. Last one was Berthie, it just feels good and the ability to take two ammo types is great.

"They 180 and kill you intantly" Thats what happens everytime, every fcking time i get a 180 headshot. The first second i see them, im not even shooting at that point. I wish my mmr5 to 6 where like youtubes mmr 5 to 6. I know that are your best rounds from many, but you still make money plus. Im currently at 200 hunt dollars at level 28 because i cant get sht done. Not even when sniping it doesnt matter, instant headshots. Even through walls and sht. This game got absolutely broken after the update, i feel like im playing against mmr 9 or something like that.
