I still get mine out every now and again. It's still a great phone and over the last weekend I compared it with the U11 plus I just love both of these HTC phones Such a shame that so many that never used it and others that had it a week jumped on the trash the phone bandwagon

Its underated at now half price point. The Htc Bolt $700 at Sprint 1yr ago is now $149 and at 1/5 price very underated with great adaptive sound and htc ear buds, very fast charge, runs hot when charging is main complaint. Good job on practical review🤓

Great phone! Can be picked up in Taiwan for 7800 nt or about 270 USD. Now the u11 is getting closer in price about 450 USD and the u11+ for 530 USD. All running Oreo here in Taiwan. Just don't want to give up my 16 by 9 screen ratio. Thanks for the video.

I'm considering getting the U Ultra, as my old ONE A9 is pretty worn. It's mainly the battery that's beaten down. After 2 1/2-3 years non stop running, 24/7, it's in definite need of being replaced. The thing I'm most curious about, is the lack of an earphone jack

I have bought this phone because my galaxy s7 edge (exynos version) fell out of my hands a few times and did not look too good anymore. It was time to sell it or get stuck with it for ever. I did not want to spend too much but i have high demands. After searching securely the U Ultra seemed to be the biggest bang for my buck. I have to say the exynos s7 was a little snappier than the snapdragon 821 ultra, but still it does not disappoint me. The battery? Yeah, that could have been better. I have also owned the s6 (no edge) and it is about as bad as that was. It is also a pitty that you really need to use the included back case to protect is because now it is hard to see how pretty it is. It is a big phone for it's specs but i do love it. It surely is a flagship device and for 300 euros the best out there.

I agree that water-proof and wireless charging isn't something that needs to be in a phone. If wireless chargering was a fast as wired I'd argue it should be in flagship territory phones.

I actually picked up the LG G6 before moving onto this phone. The G6 has a notoriously frustrating moisture sensor which goes off on its own constantly...it's a huge known issue - google it. Keeps the phone from charging and there isn't a permanent fix yet, aside from sending it back to LG and hoping they'll actually replace it.

Ikr this has always been goin on with htc. Every other year i read false review and lies and how flawed an htc phone is and then i still buy em anyway and none of the problems proclaimed dont really exist. Ive been using htc U Ultra and its definitely hugely UNDERRATED. ITS SO GOOD. From battery time to speed , even though the processor is not much in numbers but its benchmarks are better than some octacore flagships. The resolution , usonic , everything is just bliss and perfect.

People dont HTC phones here like they use. I remembered when android first launched we all had an htc phone. Rather it was the G1, Htc dream or evo. Even the One series when it first launched. HTC was brilliant. I was in interested in the U11 Life. Do you still have that phone? I miss the M series

MsTechNotFancy I've had the Ultra since launch, and I have to admit it's an awesome phone (I used to change my phone quite reguarly so to have it this long is an achievement in itself) There's a bit to get used to (no headphone jack, skin color in pictures tends to be a little off). But honestly it's totally capable as a daily driver. If you run the pixel launcher Google keyboard and other apps (in my opinion) runs even better. My only gripe is the software support. The latest update dates back to October and HTC haven't got any concrete details on its Oreo ETA (even the HTC 10 is on Oreo now..) But it's. Robust phone. Got the engine of the pixel XL and enough to keep you happy. I think you might like it. Also fancy crossing paths with you outside of XBL!

@@WyntrWxlfStudios sorry that I'm just now replying to you. You made solid good points. I just want to update you that I did buy the U Ultra. Is been 2 days and I'm really enjoying. My only con is the lack of the headphone jack but besides that that's good. It runs Android Oreo 8. 0. Believe the last security update was in January. Sometimes, I'm disappointed with some phone review worse because they never talk about all of the features on a phone. For example, the U Ultra has facia unlock . It's not like OnePlus and Samsung's but it still unlock the phone. Fingerprint scanner is pretty good, is not a Huawei fingerprint scanner but it's up there. I bought the phone brand new for $312. I'm glad I did because I was looking at the Huawei Mate 10 Pro but it was over my budget. HTC U Ultra gets the job done for me.

@@MsEady123 I personally think you've done really well. I went as far as trying the lg g6+. Yes you gain the extra camera and other features that should have come as standard, but it left much to be desired in comparison. The software support was diabolical also. I am stuck at a crossroads with a Nexus 6P with still has software support until November. But even that still makes me missing thing like the second screen and audio quality. (I still have the USB c headphone adapter and it really makes my headphones sing, but no where near as great as the ultra. Even the U11+ was on my list at one stage I think when my contract is up next year I'll have a look at the oneplus 6, only cuz currently offerings are sketchy. But U ultra tickets every box for me. If only they get it more up to date...

hey mr.jwilliams i ve been your fan for about 3 months now and i own htc u ultra saphire blue needless to say it is just an amaizing phone got it for 300$ and i managed to make the camera even better by using the hdr+ feature from the google pixel to the ultra it makes photo and video much better than they already are any way so i have one question i ve been up-to-date with the latest galaxy s9 rumors and this phone ughh it just seems too good to beat even lg cancelled the lg g7 and started working on it from scratch just cuz how gd the galaxy s9 camera with variable aperture and 500 fps slow mo is. plus htc head of smartphone department resigned from his position and left the company for good this guy announced every htc flagship since the one m7 till the u 11 which isnt good news , so i just dont think that htc will be able to match the s9 camera so unless they come up with some 4 speaker phone i dont know how an htc flagship will compete with the s9 they may have gd design and fantastic audio but the redicilous amount of features Samsung flag ships have is insane and people are stupid and will buy lagesung no matter how gd htc is they just dont have the ads and i rly fear if thier flagship doesnt sell well they end up like nokia or blackberry😭😭😞plz i need to know wat do you think about all of this crap keep up the great content man love your channel !! byee

I've got this phone and I personally wouldn't recommend it, it's laggy at time's the screen isn't the best and neither is the camera and from my experience the battery life has been terrible! I got it for £195 in the UK so for that price I guess you can't complain too much but I'm ditching this and getting the Nokia 7 plus!
