Underrated Palettes for Purple Lovers + Palette GIVEAWAY!

Purple has been my favorite color for over 30 years. Finding a great “purple palette” isn’t easy, so I usually mix & match.

That palette looks beautiful and it's one that I always add to my cart, but am too afraid to buy... I've heard melt's eyeshadows can be pretty fragile and I've heard mixed reviews about the formula. But one day I'm determined to try it😭💜

@@ddrox919 definitely is hit and miss! I always wait for reviews and never buy Melt outright. 420 I wanted, but the reviews were terrible so I didn't get it. But she's in parties had great reviews! And yeah, it arrived broken so I had to order another but it happens 🤷‍♀️ their formula is worth it!!

I don’t love ace beauté’s formula but the color story of paradise fallen is so unique and lovely, I’m willing to work a little harder for it. I love how it’s more violet and greys instead of pinky and magenta

Can you do a top 5 purple palettes of all time as well? Or just an overview of all your purple palettes? I looove purple palettes and my favorite is the JSC blood lust but I’m trying to find a non-problematic alternative😭

If you can’t find a decent replacement, you can build your own Blood Lust with singles 🙂

Violette Etendu by Viseart is pretty terrific. The neutrals in it are purple-toned so it’s cohesive.

I have the Ace Beaute Palette. Some people don't like the formula, but it's workable for me and I enjoy the color story when I'm going for something more dramatic.

For palettes, my favorites are from Viseart. The Amethyst Theory palette, Paris Edit & I just ordered the new Violette palette. Viseart just has the best purple mattes imo & the purples are actually purple, not pink. My favorite purple shimmers are from different Indie Brands & are mostly duochromes or very metallic. I mix & match with the Viseart palettes, mostly the mattes, to get the looks I want depending on whether I'm going soft or smokey.

I LOVE purple, but feel like so many companies have kind of dropped the ball on including an actual Matte true purple shadow in their palettes. For instance, I wish Colourpop included the single “Try Me” in their “It’s my pleasure” palette. That purple is currently my favorite, but I really love the purples in the Coloured Raine Vivid Pigments palette (their now discontinued Power Palette is a favorite as well!) N-Sane from JD glow is another amazing purple shade, reminds me a lot of Ripple from Colourpop.

Right? Pardon the example, but it seemed like Jeffree Star kept his true colors for the rainbow palette instead of his monochromatic palettes 🙄 Do you prefer bigger or smaller palettes? You can create your purple too with blue based greens and reds 🙂 (not the same, I know, but it can be fun)

Purple is one of my favorite colors to wear on my eyes now more than ever. I went back to my natural pale silver hair color this year and i find that cool toned colors are overall more flattering on me. The violets by Juvia's place is one of my favorite palettes along with my singles from Sydney Grace.

Ahhhh! Purple is my favorite! I have emerald green eyes with gold around the pupil and purple is definitely my go to! I had my lilac you a lot palette and it shattered 😭😭😭

The ace beaute Paradise fallen has been on my wishlist since it was released. I too love purples. I like shimmery purples more so than matte ones. Im considering getting the new viseart purple palette

I completely understand why you wanted to talk about the Cotton Candy palette. I haven't been able to stop raving about it and recommending it to people ever since I got it months ago. I think it actually might be my favorite palette that I bought this year. I love the formula of every shade *so* much. I ended up buying the Pistachio palette a couple of weeks ago when they restocked because I need to have a green palette in that formula.

Wow that Klarity palette looks amazing! Its definitely giving me Give Me Glow vibes with the pan size and the strong pigmentation. Give Me Glow blackened plum single is the BEST matte deep purple Ive ever used. They have a new palette Vivid Rose with purples Im really interested in.

On of these days I'll manage a proper purple look. Somehow no matter how purple a shade looks in the pan somehow it always looks more magenta/pink on my eyes. Might have to think about giving these a try!

I have that Juvia's Place purple pallet and I SO agree with you! It is gorgeous and a must have for anyone who loves purples. Even though the mattes are less dazzling than the shimmers, they still work very well on the eye even though they don't swatch that great.

I very much enjoyed this video! For people based in Europe, who may wish to dupe some of these shimmers...Lethal Cosmetics offers some stunning purple shimmers. I also love their matte formula. For anyone into greens, they have some of the best shades I've ever used. Acid limes through to forest greens in matte and shimmer formulas. Cannot recommend highly enough.

So far, "That's My Jam" from Too Faced is my favorite purple palette. I started wearing makeup again after years of using only minimal makeup. I have a Morphe 2 for $XX (?) purple palette but it's kinda "muddy" looking, some of them and Morphe isn't exactly on par with Too Faced so I use that palette when I just want to do a single color look and I'm out the door. I started wearing eyeshadow about... IDK? 6 weeks ago? I'm learning a lot from you and others. I learned how to apply eyeshadow to my hooded eyes which was the reason I never wore it in the first place. Like you, I could talk about it for hours. 😄

I love your earrings!!! My youngest daughter loves purple and it's my birthstone, so I'm loving this video. I think I'm going to paint my nails purple, just bought 3 new ones from OPI. I have a couple of palettes from Ace Beaute that I got in a Boxycharm, the shadows are so pigmented and beautiful. The BH palette isn't cheating, purple has so many tones, plums, berries, lilac.... and that palette is gorgeous annnnnnd purple represents royalty so it can do anything it wants (how many times can I type "palette" omg). I'm a big fan of the Menagerie Violet Ink and I still love It's My Pleasure and I've been hemming and hawing over the new Menagemuah from Colourpop bc I think it's a good berry toned palette.... personally I'm a sucker for greens and earthy tones, also jewel tones, and if they're both grungy I'm fine with that lol

I absolutely love purple eyeshadow or purple color stories in a palette but I don't really have like and all purple palette except the colourpop it's my pleasure palette! I have most of those palettes and several more (Morphe’s Such A Gem, Peachy Queen’s Amethyst, Menagerie’s Violet Ink [can’t remember if you mentioned that], ABH Norvina 1 [is that cheating?] ... I don’t know why I need this many purple palettes either) but I think the most underrated in my collection is Lucky Bunny’s Greed palette - it has some pink, but is largely purple 🙂
