I think a lot of the Wolves slander is really unjustified - Lage did well at Benfica (from stats), plays exciting attacking football. 2 Signings so far look promising in Mosquera and Trincao and if we keep Neves (whilst letting Patricio and Moutinho move on) and aquire Palhinha, Kaoi Jorge, Tarkowski and either Dragowski/Jose Sa. I think we are going to be a lot stronger than people are giving us credit for with the actual pre-season and Raul back.

I would also say that’s because of the different passion for the shirt. Which is different in club level. I would say most players obviously fight more for the country rather than club because of roots and background. It’s a proud moment and something that should be given with it’s all as we see with some players giving it their all in the euros. Some players are just better internationally.

Also, I'd say the most characteristic thing Nuno left behind was a really good locker room, and Lage's undoing in Benfica was the locker room, which has just gotten worse since he left, but Jesus isn't someone who cares about how men treat each other so it doesn't matter, Lage works firstly on the human side from what it felt like, and then he knows how to bring the best out of emerging talent, and likes to attack. So all that, Neto and Trincão have a good basis to go on.
