The almost two minutes of build up and then the complete silence before “machinery” pops up on screen without warning is fucking unreal. She knew what she was doing and that it’s a crowd pleaser.

Out of context, a crowd chanting “Arms, body, legs, flesh, skin, bone, sinew, good luck” is the most terrifying thing ever

God when I heard this song, I knew it would be so fun live with a crowd. I wish I could go to a show but I’m broke and in Missouri 🥲

God this brings back memories. 15 years ago, watched a locally famous band called Dirty Mittens open for Starfucker (STRFKR now) in Portland. Their closer was something like a slow but solid percussion crescendo that kept cresting for what felt like minutes. And then it BURST into the most beautiful and powerful cover of Bridges and Balloons you could ever hear. I can't even remember what it sounded like, but I'll never forget how it made me feel. Moments like this are why live music is so important to experience!
