Hi there, found you on tiktok and have since started playing. Ive looked around online but couldnt find the version you seem to be playing. Although the mechanics are the same the design of your replay system is gorgeous and was wondering if you ever thought of making into an online playable version! Love the videos btw keep it up!

Hey :D this is Quoridor FreeBoard, but it's only usable for offline usage (I.e in solo mode). If you want to play online, you'd have to use Board Game Arena. You can check my latest video to see how it's like :) I agree that the UI looks amazing on Quoridor FreeBoard and I wish it was playable online, but it's not available at the moment unfortunately. Maybe one day it will, if the number of players on the game increases a lot ! The thing is, that in terms of features, BGA has everything (ELO system, replay system, forum, in game chat, friendly match making, etc.). I just wish it looked as great as Quoridor FreeBoard

I always fall into the traps of simple openings when more experienced players play me. Usually, when I don't know how to defend, I become very easy to beat (sometimes even too easy, and it's frustrating). I never thought that a common opening, which I see in more than half of my games, is literally full of traps for black

Yes! If you want to progress in Quoridor, you should definitely know all those situations to be able to counter anyone throwing this at you in a consistent manner. Then, your opponents will be forced to use riskier and deeper strategies 😉

Great video! Just wanted to ask why do the pawns move to the middle at the start of the game? Don’t they start at the edge? Can’t the opponent also place walls while the pawns are not yet in the middle? Thanks! 🙏

Both pawns start in the middle of the board. If you want you can move to the side at the start of the game, but that is often a very risky strategy. You can also attack earlier if you want :) I actually presented some Black openers that are aggressive early (see my video on the "5 openers you must know")

To practice solo (like on the video it's Quoridor FreeBoard). To play online it's Board Games Arena

I don't understand what is defence and what is attack
@quoridorstrategy4 ай бұрын
@@NeoZondix Typically defense = trying to secure your advancement and placing walls behind you, attack = trying to extend your opponents path and playing a wall in front of you
