Hi Sundas, oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that, but you are definitely not alone. I know of so many people in a very similar situation. I hope this video helps. It does sound like you've just been making a few little errors and hopefully one has been mentioned in the video, so just tweaking things here and there will get you over the line. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Hello, don't mind me asking, I am trying to apply for UKFP as well. Did you pass your OET ? I did my first attempt and got 400+ on three subtests, but writing was 360

Thank you. I wondered if it was possible that I could send you my referral letters and you would review them for me. I haven't shown up yet, but I'd like to take the exam this coming quarter.

Thank you for this. Can we say "heavy drinker" and "smoker"?
@UpgradeYourOET6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question. Something to bear in mind is that in normal circumstances, the patient always gets a copy of the letter; so how do you think the patient would feel if they read that about themselves? To be totally neutral, you can say "Patient x drinks y units a day/week and smokes z a day." This way you are being purely factual. I hope this helps!

Why didn’t you include the family history in the first paragraph?
@UpgradeYourOET3 ай бұрын
Hello, thanks for your question. Well, you can look at it the other way. What information did the reader lose by not having family history at the beginning? Did they miss out on any crucial information that they needed to know right from the start in order for them to start planning their care path? If the answer is "no" as it is here, then you ask, well do they need to know it at all? If "yes" then you think how important is the information? This will help you decide what information to put where and what to exclude. I hope this helps!

Hello i have a question if you do not mind answering! if i have 350+ in all subtests, am i able to register with GMC and enroll myself in a job in UK for three months or more (as mentioned on UK foundation website), would that be enough as a proof for UK foundation program's English eligibility criteria? if you have any information about this or know someone please let me know :) thanks
@UpgradeYourOET2 жыл бұрын
Hello there, thanks for your question. To enter a UK foundation programme, you'll need to score 400, rather than 350. To register with the GMC and do your PLABs, you need 350. Here's a link to the GMC website. I hope this helps! www.gmc-uk.org/registration-and-licensing/join-the-register/before-you-apply/evidence-of-your-knowledge-of-english

Can you please explain how you managed to acheive this
@UpgradeYourOET9 ай бұрын
Hi Jia, to get 400, you need to be of a C1 level in terms of English. Then, you need to know what makes the difference between a letter that gets a B and one which scores a high B and above. This video will help show you the criteria and what needs to be done. Please take a look through it and good luck.

Bt i want to know the reason behind writing her family history of father and brother .. could u plz explain me if u dont mind m.. i m so.confused mam
@UpgradeYourOET Жыл бұрын
Great question. In this case, the patient has a heart condition, and so the father's history is significant - not something the reader needs to know immediately, but useful knowledge. Any close family history that is related to the pt's current condition is useful. The brother's condition in itself, of course, is not related, but his situation is naturally stressful, and stress contributes to the pt's anxiety. So even if she had a stressful job, or perhaps had described relationship issues, or something like that, it would be useful to include at the end of the letter, so that the reader is aware of any external factors that could affect her recovery. I hope this helps!
