Module: How to Read Roads! This series takes viewers on a university level course through a whole City Planning University degree - learn what they learn! This episode focuses on Roads and whether you should make a Car-Centric City, A Walkable City, or something in between. There are many users on roads, from vehicles to cyclists to pedestrians - but what is the right mix.
In the urban planning academic field, there is a shift beyond New Urbanism and into smarter and human-centric and scaled cities - and you might be surprised at some of the cities that are embarking upon the challenge of "limiting the car".
Case Cities: Portland, Melbourne, Barcelona, Tokyo, Oslo, Sydney, Greenwich Village, Copenhagen, St Paul and Minneapolis.
