Hi Sir I am so grateful for your videos. Your communication is very clear. 👍🏻 In frame 3, the left column is deflecting having bending moment with only vertical point load. But in quiz question for deflection shape you said only deflection happen when a horizontal load is applied as well in addition to vertical point load. How we can relate this? Thanks

The column can also deflect rightwards when we have a roller support on right side. Here, in frame 3 we have a roller support on right side and that is causing the deflection in the column.

hi in the third case you said there is horizontal reaction but in fact there in no cause the right side support is ruler in the in X-X direction
