Hare Krishna Prabhu, Thanks a ton for valuable message for people like me who is little confused about the destiny. I was not at all aware of three modes of material nature or living in the path of dharma. I committed some offences. I have been chanting hare Krishna mantra since 2022. I'm currently suffering from mental and physical illness. I am not able to progress in my life, in my profession (software engineer). Is it because of my past deeds?.. I have been praying lord to atleast tell me the reason I am not able to do well in my life. My mind is getting blocked, not able to use the intelligence provided by the lord to progess in my profession. I know my strengths and weaknesses, but not getting results. I am able to sleep for around 3-4 hours but later continuous thoughts pouring in which is affecting good sleep. Recently, consulted an astrologer to get an eye view of my chart, he said I am in shani dasha period, its till 2038. What should a Devotee do in this case where he is not from rich family, should be earning some money for the daily livelihood. I am aware that I am telling all this in public, but my situation made me to post this. Prabhu or anyone please help.

At a certain point i felt that its of benefit to think im never in control. I felt that thinking i am in control is an illusion even if things are going well. Thats the beauty of coming to an understanding that Krishna is the doer and we offer the good and bad to Him. But the opposite can also be true if that appeals more to a person. There cannot be anything that can be completely out of control. We can still talk to Krishna. What is out of control anyway is, if we have a particular outcome in mind and we cant envision that outcome in reality, we think the situation is out of control. The only out of control situation i can think of is when there is no opportunity to think of Krishna perhaps for a mentally retarded individual but who knows maybe the person is just working out some karma in this life. So i could be wrong here. The only out of control situation for me is the one which can make me forget Krishna.

But things we can control isn’t Destiny also just allowing us to move forward smoothly or doing what we want. But we think we are doing what we want yet it’s just a hand of God in us. It’s says in Bhagavat Gita is that only Ego thinks that he is the doer. So we are not the actual doer. And everything is Destiny/God?
