Excellent presentation. It's the first time I've come across this doctor and I really like his 'bedside manner'.

This is by far the best explanation of food addiction. Dr. Frank also identifies self love which is so important in the world of weight loss. Thank you!

Processed protein powder is separated from its original fiber and nutrients

I swapped all my protein powders out with four non-green bell peppers and about 150 cal of chunky mild cilantro salsa. There we go. All the way wet 👊🏼 I had the stuff, too. Vegan birthday cake pea protein powder. I had a protein shake smoothie that tasted like the most delicious liquid birthday cake you’ve ever had in your mouth, better than cookie dough. But few things in this world satisfy me like four big bell peppers with salsa. Don’t scoop like a bitch, either. Scoop that shit like you mean it. It’s phenomenal 🤗

So how do you get off the SSRIs without harm? I’ve tried and tried and I feel like I am going crazy. I’ve been on them for YEARS and I know they have messed with my brain chemicals. I’m 67, fat, have high BP, and am now dealing with cancer (5 years in remission and they just found enlarged lymph nodes again). I want to get off the SSRIs, give up the food as an emotional crutch, and get healthy. But, damn, every time I try to wean off slowly from my SSRI addiction and get control of my food addiction, it is a recipe for disaster. 😢😢😢

I really need help. My partner and I are both vegan but we eat a lot of junk. Its really hard to get off it. How do I start? I've read McDougall's, dr Greger's and dr Barnard's books. Watched lots of documenaries. I'm not fat but slowly getting there.

My experience the closer you get to your goal weight it is harder to lose. So be patient with yourself and find someone or a group that will support you daily. It can be virtual. Education works and it sounds like you are open minded and teachable. Tweaking becomes a lifestyle. As Chef AJ shares in the house in the mouth. Addiction can be like a elvator, you can get off on any floor. It is a disease that tells you your not addicted.

You've got to want it badly enough--listen to Dr. Goldhamer who was just recently on.

The books you said you've read give you a blue print. Get the junk out of the house. And plan plan plan your meals. Cook at home. You only need a few things you like to eat. Make them over and over. Your taste buds adapt. Give it time.

This is the video I share most. Sadly, these sentiments and ideas only make sense to me after I’ve put most of this into practice. Takes real faith to do the tight things AND none of the bad things before the “feeling good consistently” shows up. Have some faith in the Universe, that your good deeds will rewarded, with extra vigor and leverage if you also stop all the bad things along with FOING the good things. Have a little faith in the Universe. The Universe had A LOT faith in You.
