Other composers: writes song titles easy to remember. Hiroyuki sawano: sits on keyboard.

So, what my takeaway from this is, is that Hiroyuki Sawano is simultaneously an asshole, a sadist, and a genius.

18:37 For shironotairiku - the white content, also kuronotairiku - the black continent, they are both opposites of each other. 6 flipped is 9 which is mirrored vertically, 9 is then mirrored into p which is a horizontal flip -> this is the absolute opposite of 6 into 9 into p. So, when comparing the opposite colors of white and black, while seen as opposites, they are also seen as a yin yang which leads to a balance.

@@MBMichael I'm 1 year late watching this video but ye CR17S19S8 means クリシス戦場(kurishisu ikusaba(or senjou)) so Crisis: Battlefield or in this context just "Battle" since the song plays on well, battles.

@@OmNi08 Oh of course the 8 would be 場 lmao, then you'd reinterpret the kanji to be read as senjou... yeah this seems like the most likely candidate. Thanks so much!

There is no way Sawano himself looks at these titles and goes “ah yeah that’s Lao’s theme”. Great video

Wow this was such a clean and well-put together video!! When I tell you that I audibly gasped at the first translation cleanly unraveling into “White Continent” lmaoo I had a feeling they were some sort of cypher but after just staring at them for so many years to finally get what they mean was so cool

That was a very good video ! I'm very happy that we finally have a serious video on this subject. I'd like to see you explain other soundtracks as well, but I don't have any preferences. So if you want to do another video like that, please take your time and do something you love. Thank you for being such a good content creator and member in the Sawano Hiroyuki community ! :D

Just found this, never played Xenoblade but Sawano is responsible for the soundtracks of a lot of my favorite anime, namely Kill La Kill and approximately half the 86. I had thought of goroawase as the solution for a couple of the themes in those shows, but I'd love to see an analysis of the reading and meaning of more of such stuff.

SPOILERS AHEAD BE WARNED “Lao Chimera Telethia” Now maybe I just don’t remember XCX like I thought I did, or this is involving lore I haven’t seen yet. But since this is the Telethia battle theme, how is Lao and him turning into a Chimera related to the Telethia?
@MBMichael
@MBMichael 2 жыл бұрын
This track has two halves, the first half is used in the fight against the Vita (which is the "lao chimera" section of the double track), while the latter is used when fighting Telethia, the Endbringer. The final boss theme was The key we've lost, lol, so the first half wasn't exactly used where originally intended I guess.

Either it was put in the wrong place, or the telethia fight was originally going to be the final boss which would have possibly hinted at X and XB1 being connected. Possibly changed late in development if it was intended to be that way since X was marketed as a spinoff game that is not connected to the Mainline Xenoblade games.
