Examples of range of cost to work with attorney in developing plan? Couple? Senior? Good info, presented understandably. Thanks.

Glad it was helpful. There is such a huge range depending on where you live and how much you need the attorneys to do. Most elder attorneys should be able to give you an estimate. Many will offer a free consultation. If you're in the Austin area, let me know and we can recommend.

Accountable Aging and one other care management agency was mentioned - what was the other agency’s name please? “Near Care” or something…
@parentingagingparents Жыл бұрын
Mir Care Consultants is the other care manager mentioned. They cover the Austin and Corpus Christi area. Here's their website: mircareconsultants.com/ If you're in a different part of the country you can find a certified manager in your area at: www.aginglifecare.org.

@@edwardyudkoff7137 Thanks for your feedback. There are so many nuances about Medicaid and different situations that people have, especially in different states, so always helpful to find someone who can guide you through the process.

I'm told from the nursing home who is applying for Medicaid for my sister,she was married five times but never changed her social security card to her new name.this is what is stopping her from being approved.HUH ?

Why doesn't America take care of its elderly instead of worrying so much about all the rich people and foreign countries.

It's getting harder and harder to find doctors who will accept Medicaid. It truly is bottom of the barrel care, which in most cases is no care at all.

Sorry you're having trouble.

How do they qualify? Oh let us count the ways! And then once they 'qualify' Medicaid will take their home and all their assets. How family wealth gets financialized.
