As a hiring manager, I just have to say I love what you're doing and how you show things in bullet form. I can't tell you how many people will tank an interview as they've written a 'script' and they're unable to deviate from the script. We'll ask probing questions and if a candidate is following a script, it completely throws them. Bullets, as you've used, are great as it reminds you what you want to talk about. Great job here (kudos for using a BC Gov competency example! 🙂)

I had a very high mark on my written test and lots of work-related experience. I can see why I failed the interview- I didn't say the "magic words" they sought.

is this competency dictionary just for federal jobs, or provincial jobs too?
@daveford4502 ай бұрын
No the feds and each province will have their own competencies and definitions of the competencies.

Hi, do you know what the passing score for the eskill remote test is, the test had a total of 31 questions which included a bunch of questions about word and excel, it would be really helpful, thank you ! The test was for the common services officer

Hello! I'm not sure - I haven't seen that information anywhere but I'll dig around to see if I can find out. Though, sometimes the hiring manager will decide what skill level they need or are willing to accept for the specific role, so it can depend!
@daveford4502 ай бұрын
This is completely dependent on the hiring manager and typically the passing score of a take-home assignment will be between 70-80%, but it really depends on the job, number off applicants, etc. My passing grade is normally 80% and that will move you into the interview stage.

@@daveford450hello, can you please tell me what to reply for situation based questions for administrative / clerical posts . you will be given a scenario with lot of tasks and the question will be based on skills “ability to manage or prioritize tasks” . What should be my approach to answer this questions?
