To simply dismiss this as just arising and passing is hard for a western mind to embrace! It’s “cold” comfort!

Karma must work forward and backwards, and it could never be tied to time because it's nonlocal, following incarnation but also preceding it.

Do you think forgiving yourself during the process of healing trauma - because most kids think they caused the abuse - falls under the idea of remorse?

There is no thing to forgive. It is no longer. When one uses forgiveness this is ego saying, I'm good, I'm forgiving. Let it go like clouds passing by.

Reality presented here at variance with old Newtonian /Western philosophical constructs Now seen as an "apparent manifestation" with a foundation of emptiness.. a proposition supported by the new physics.

The idea of karma across many lives assumes the permanence of an individual in some form, which does not match with the transitory nature of our being.

What is transitory nature of the being?
@x1plus1x

@@krishnakumar.v.k6290 Transitory means it comes and goes. Now you see it, now you don't. We do not persist as a constant, unchanging form within a single lifetime, much less across multiple lives.

This is exactly this video says... transitory is your physical nature, permanence of the spirit. Even by your argument , even during one life time the body changes but the "you" doesn't.

@@krishnakumar.v.k6290 There is no reason to believe that there is more to me than my physical existence.
