Jealousy can be so strong, that it's indistinguishable from witchcraft. I've faced that level of jealousy. I think some jealousy is natural to some extent, so I remind myself constantly to not be jealous. Jealousy is like admitting that you have nothing going for yourself and you can never reach the level of that other person; that your life/plans/goals etc so valueless, that bringing down the other person down a notch is a more valuable activity. Otherwise, a person with belief in their future would be seeking to learn how that other person did it. That said, I think we need a culture of helping each other when we advance (Nigerians do it in startups), so that people don't feel like "tumeachwa".
