The only way a chocolate x chocolate can produce a yellow is if one of the paired bred carry yellow. Blacks can be dominate and if one Black is dominant, the entire litter will be black but can carry the recessive colors. Two pure recessives will produce that recessive color.

Ok . Growing up in the central flyaway all the old boys had a saying. If it's not black put it back. I never understood that meaning. Although over the years I have stayed away from chocolate labs. In my opinion they make beautiful show animals but those that I have been around have trained but are knuckleheads to keep trained. Your video tells me now that my black lab of the same liter who is calm and easily trained has a brother who is a complete cull. Every liter has the potential but not all make the grade. I don't look for color anymore . Just traits.

yellow labs can range from almost redish to almost white it has to do with a gene that "bleaches" the yellow/red genes (english is not my first language)

What about the WHITE labs ???

No white Labradors , what happens if u have a variation in the yellow coat which can be caused by high exposure to the sun , that's what happened with my yellow Lab , and in wintertime he would look more yellow .

My chocolate Lab was a fantastic dog. She was incredibly smart and well trained, including heeling beside me off leash, spitting out food on command, fetching numerous items by name. She was super loyal and sweet. She lived to be 14 and I miss her to this day.

Yellow labs come in a light cream to fox red. White should never be the descriptive color. Black Chocolate and Yellow.
