*Works amazingly **Fastly.Cool** . I love all the features and the double expansion. For once a fan is almost as tall as my window. Updated but not overly fancy.*

I can't thank you enough for posting this. I tried replacing multiple parts in the fan without understanding the function of the timer and CFM controls and how they worked together. Your video saved the day!

So helpful! Our home inspector said our vent was broken because it runs continuously. But I just turned it to 0 cfm, and off it went! Now I just have to figure out what it should be set at. I don't want to pump any more of our expensive, conditioned air to the great outdoors than I can help.

I took fan out for overdue cleaning, and couldn't figure out why the timer stopped turning off the fan. Thank you for the explanation!

It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. kzbin.infoUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...

This video was extremely helpful! One follow-up question...any troubleshooting tips to when the motion sensor doesn't work? We were going crazy because the fans were continuously running in our guest bathroom, so this fixed that but our Master Bathroom has the same fan and it works as described, but when I turn continuous run off it just stops because the motion sensor isn't picking up motion. Just moved into the house so haven't done a ton of troubleshooting, but I assume there isn't a battery component to the motion sensor? Anything other than a loose wire people have experienced that can help me as a starting point?

what is the purpose of having the vent on all the time? Will I get exchange air from the outside?

I have the VKM model with light. Panasonic FV-08VKME3 to be exact. I'm confused how the light operates because the sensor seems to control only the fan. But it has normal and night light too and I don't know how these are activated and If I should install a double wall switch - for each light . Manual is lacking information on how the fan and lighting operates and what kind of wall switch is needed. Bought mine from Amazon and on the comments seems like some people connect a wall timer to the fan so it's not running 24/7 .

Thanks for the video. Are the timer positions clickable positions (i.e. lock in place) or can the dial be set between markings? For example could I put the dial between 30-60 for say roughly 45 minutes of time? Also, can the timer be disabled all together?

Hi, I have problem using the Fan. when I turn the switch ON, the Fan does not run until 17 seconds. with the timer and CFM in 0 position. any idea why I am having a delay in the start. thank you

Wondering if you have an answer for this problem: I've got a VKM. It won't go to 'low speed.' It is always at high speed. If I set the CFM to 0 (zero) it will go off when the time runs out. I have it on 1/2 a minute to make testing easy. If I put it on 30 CFM (lowest available after 0,) when the time runs out, it stays on high speed. I think that used to work but now it does not. I had CFM to 0 (zero) for a while but I thought it worked before that--I've had the fan for several years.
