While teaching time intelligence analysis, always keep/show dates (month,year) in rows so that people can easily see what you are referring to and how DAX is applying.

For those if you feel some columns are missing from the given dataset, just add columns manually and you are good to go...

Good tutorial, well explained. Instead of hardcoding the from and to dates, is there a way of making it dynamic

We can use Date DAX Function followed by YEAR/MONTH with number of intervals required with TODAY() function or even the CALENDAR DAX Function with DATE and TODAY() will also work. if you still have any question please feel free to ask.
