This is such a good video. I know not what a nipple sparing procedure. It will help me ask my plastic surgeon if I am eligible for nipple sparing reconstruction. We need more videos like this in all surgery. Thank you

We have been performing nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, as illustrated in this video, with the following important differences: first, we remove all of the breast tissue under the nipple-areola and skin; second, we have attempted nipple sparing in all of our patients despite large ptotic breast and have a 92% success of healthy nipple tissue; finally, we perform the reconstruction with an absorbable polyester scaffold and fat grafting instead of tissue expanders and silicone implants.

Seems like a simple mastectomy is not simple at all. This is named wrong n very misleading. Imo

The problem with those breast surgeons out there is that they don’t consider what is best for the woman but what is better for them and just go and do the mastectomy or do an incisional biopsy that radically damages the breast; the medical professionals that deal with breast cancer are few that have the conscience to do the best possible method for the woman.
