I have had three different instructors over the years tell me my head dip in the backswi was bad and I needed to stay tall thru backswing? One even acknowledged at the top I was in te right position but needed to stop dipping during backswing?

Tiger Woods, the greatest player of all time his head dropped more than anybody so perhaps it’s time for you to find a new instructor

Great take with great side by side comparison. Chuck, to you, what’s the feel for this? You talked about using your bicep more to keep your club and arms back so that you can be on plane…and I’ve heard others refer to this as a “cast” from behind. When I’m able to shallow my plane to neutralize it, plus or minus 1 degree, the feeling I have is almost a cast behind me. Note, I still hit down on the ball with my irons, so I’m not early extending. It’s just the “feel” for me personally. What’s your feel?

@@IdaGolfo I cover this in the magic of supination video on the site. It is simply supination from the top with the trail forearm.

@ thx Chuck. I’m a member. I’ll go watch that again :)

@ when you watch the video and start feeling the supination the trip to this is you are only throwing the club at roughly a 45° angle back toward the ball and then the pivot on the trail leg is what brings the club path back to square
