You can stick to the 5 btu rule but its per cubic foot, not square foot , big difference

Super helpful and intuitive. Thanks much. Asking a a general contractor/remodel contractor in business since 2007, who of course always defers to the HVAC contractor to trust them to know so that I don't have to, yet still curious, is there any benefit or detriment to oversizing a system?

Thank you so much, Lou! Doing a presentation in Dec for math class and this will help me explain it nicely. I also will briefly talk about BTUs in different woods for wood burning stoves. I have a sample of maple and ash. Maple is so much heavier with more BTUs so I thought that was interesting & fun to explain. Your a God sent. Linda
