How can I apply inertia load in a rotating beam in ansys apdl for modal . I have tried giving rotational speed in rad/ sec but there is no change in natural frequency

Any information on why does the gravitational forces was not being modelled in this case?

Can we use point mass in modal analysis with MOI in assembly to replace large part with point mass? and can we connect these point masses by rigid link to the subject part and with each other?

You can, and even further learn to pre-stress your modal simulations

Still I don't understand if 1.5rad/sec acting on body, does it fan rotates, if rotates how long please?
@pawelo26982 жыл бұрын
It rotates but relatively to anchored (grounded ) Coordinate system - you cant see it in such analysis. In this analysis fan doesnt rotate as the CS is fixed to it.

Imagine a small fan at home and you suddenly grabbed the shaft while its rotating at 1.5 rad/s. The current simulation is similar to that situation.

Too trivial - what if we had inertial loads with "normal forces" in one analysis- can static structural handle it?

Why using fix support? Not clydrical support
