Just picked up a maintenance job 3 weeks ago at a local bowling alley that’s in the process of rebuilding their name. New to bowling alley maintenance. We’re struggling with a pair of lanes that’s damaging balls. This video has helped me tremendously. I’ll keep following. Please keep posting.

Most likely cause is an unleveled track in the underground and loose screws and shit, anything u think might be causing u might want to cover it up with some foam or whatever

Very interesting, and THANK YOU for shooting it properly, as in horizontally, NOT vertically.

I mean if the machines run great and maintained, you don’t have a problem. While for me Bowling for about 10 Years (with 2 Years of League Bowling) and trying to get a pinsetter mechanic job at my local AMF Center where our League bowls had 16 Disgrace AMF 82-90 XL’s, it’s just not great. I mean I don’t care whatsoever on anything like industry or what but my only care is reviving the Sport of Bowling itself and my Bowling League is going great but the Bowling Center Facility is what we’re struggling and that’s why I have a plan of working at that center on Poor Maintained Pinsetters, let alone we only have 1 Bowling Center left that barely runs. For some reason, I’m just kinda disappoint of pinsetter mechanics did their job right but what hurts me is I wish these guys would bowl like a pro on any Sanctioned Bowling League Tournaments or on the PBA Tour cause it could double their earnings of money and also maybe have a great time while Bowling and meet new friends.

Hey dude. I'm a mechanic at my bowling center but I'm extremely new and I have to teach myself everything. Your videos help a lot thank you. Would it be possible for you to show a sweep adjustment. One of mine is going to need one soon.

When I started, I was given the manual on Friday, and started on Monday. No training. About a year later I all lanes running reliably, Five running when I started. Loved that job.

I wanna work at my one and only Local Mall Bowling Center in my hometown but they had 16 junk 82-90 XL’s and their 3 Mechanics aren’t maintaining nor cleaning them. I would rather work on their pinsetters STRICTLY by shut down like 4 Lanes at a time for adjusting and checking cause I’m a League Bowler and you don’t see that much Pinsetter Mechanics in Bowling Centers that bowls professionally during their Practice or League Night. Plus I want to give a better experience for League Bowlers, I don’t care for Open Bowlers cause our League bowls at that center all the time nowadays after our original home got burned down which was a 24 Lane Brunswick Center in another mall that had junk Brunswick GS-92’s and crappy Brunswick AS Scorings but at least their service were great and they made a ton of money for hosting fun tournaments to bring people into Leagues or the Sport or Bowling and they have plans replacing some of their equipment like the Brunswick AS Scorings for Brunswick Vector and recover their 6 Dead Lanes (or Lanes that were failed to be repaired) but never saw the light cause it’s in the inferno, man good times with that place being great than the lazy AMF house today with lack of promoting leagues but at least they let us host. When I see their junk 82-90’s, I kept saying that I wish these were cleaned or have Brunswick instead of AMF cause I expect proper maintenance and also I’m an huge fan of Brunswick from Bowling Balls to Pinsetters and Brunswick had Pinsetter Enthusiasts or Pinsetter Fans in one small community here on KZbin that made Mini Bowling Alleys that were based or copied from Real Brunswick Pinsetters, nobody made Mini AMF Pinspotters today here on KZbin.

Man I know it's embarrassing i work at a 40 lane house have about 40 to 50 calls a night on Friday and Saturday and big league nights Ive been working here 4 years on night shifts. the head mechanic is the gm now he only comes back here when he has too. The machines are ran to the ground and I don't even know were to start.

Kyle Harper one bite at a time Kyle. Pick one assembly and go through on each machine and adjust/repair that one assembly. Distributor adjustments will probably knock out 50% of your calls, why not start there?

I was in the same situation about 10 years ago. I took over a 24 lane center, that the F.M. was moved to G.M. about 3 years before I got there. And the guys in the pit just ran it into the ground. When I started there, we'd have a 12 lane league with 100+ calls. Now I run 24 lane leagues with about 5 to 10 calls. It took a lot of patience and hard work to get it to where it is now. What I did was assess what where the major issues and went from there. Believe me when I say there were days I was ready to walk.
