I was just watching one of the Harry Potter movies and it dawned on me that the wand used by the magical people is probably an ofo stick. Similar to how a dibia is given an ofo before they practice their craft.

Great video once again! I think a lot of Igbo families that are full of irrational discord simply violated their Ofo in the past and have not made amends. We need to get them to figure that out lol🤣

Another amazing video and essential learning on a central tenet of our spiritual system. With each of your videos, I get a glimpse into how my ancestors moved through the world, prayed and engaged intentionally with ritual and spirituality as the heartbeat of life. Thank you, Derick. I am curious with this backdrop, how does your own last name “the Ofo is in the child” impact your personal incarnation objective, as you are born as the representation of this ritual object and your children would be the same for you and your lineage as well? That feels like it could be an entire video into itself just unpacking your last name alone with the backdrop of this video for context on “Ofo”. Also, had no idea that you had pipes! That note you hit at the beginning of the Oliver de Coque section! Must have a karaoke session in our future 😂😂

The meaning of the proverbs can express what is happening in Nigeria presently. The leaders are not leading or acting like leaders, for that reason people they are leading looks down on them call them useless , and not only that. They also join groups like the IPOB who is showing some kind of leadership. It does matter if you agree on my explanation or not.

Are there circumstances under which a woman can be the Ejiofor for their family?
@TheMedicineShell3 жыл бұрын
If she's the husband, so if she has a wife or has undertaken a ceremony to 'become' a man by title (in some places choosing to do one requires the other). But not if she has a living husband or lives with her father so it's very rare.

I think justice is for the Arusha to uphold. Ọfọ is more for accountability for upholding personal righteousness... Like the Chinese say, sticking to one's dao heart . In my opinion

Tremendous content and coverage here, but the parts about akwa ete nearly sounds like string theory and the projection of ekili as astral projections sounds New Age to me. Are there people who are still well knowledgeable about these arts? Dibias were known to travel both physically and spiritually (not necessarily in astral realm), in physical travel, they would be seen as blinking light (bad ones -- probably prohibited art could also transform to animals), they could project themselves to the consciousness of the intended recipient to pass a message which will result in the intended person seeing a trance.

Sounds exactly like the biblical hebrew concept of "judgement" as in *attributing to a person, what **_rightfully_** belongs [as in is owed, deserved] to him* It's almost as if the hebrew concept is a biblical understanding of *ogu*
