Great video! I'm glad i found your channel. You have inspired me to clean the render on my house and maybe start doing it on other peoples after. I am thinking my setup would be wfp with bleach pump. Could you recommend a brush head for roughcast render? Spray nozzles or rinse bar to put the chemical on? What wfp would you recommend, and what size hose do you think is best? I really don't want to bite the bullet and buy the gear, but then find i got the wrong stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 👍🏻
@squeakycleandave12 ай бұрын
It's a bit of an open question as there are so many variables such as your budget, size of property. weather conditions and what you are cleaning. I think the main thing would be to get some training as you can cause a lot of costly damage and seriously harm your health just spraying bleach around. I would recommend that you do the Pureseal module 2 course if you are serious about starting in the business. puresealservices.co.uk/product/approved-applicator-module-2-render-buildings-structures-restoration-10th-11th-july-crewe/

@@squeakycleandave1 Personally I’m a big fan of the flocked sill brush from Gardiner as I’m paranoid of glass damage. I also rinse the brush heads I use every other clean as well as giving the brush a brush. At the end of the day the brush heads get a rigorous rinse in a painters bucket with a home made grit guard (like a car valeters)

Hello Dave, do streamline and gardiner share the same characteristics in terms of rubber bumpers? Do they fit on both types of brushes? I have a hard time to find Streamline bumpers and i found only from gardiner which are 26 and 45 cm wide but I have a streamline brush that is 36cm. Or is there any material that I can use which is friendly to powder coated window frames? I did the stupid mistake of cleaning windows without them and made some scratches, not bad but of course, that is not very desirable. Thank you in advance and keep up the good work!

Is there certain type of material brush not to use on specific types of windows? Example don’t use natural hair brush on certain glass because it’ll scratch? Just wondering if there is any risk to use certain material on certain glass.
@squeakycleandave14 ай бұрын
I would say not so much a certain material but the finish to the ends of the brush. For example on leaded, coated or glass that you have to be a bit more careful with use a flocked bristle rather then a straight cut bristle

That's good are they making one. I only use the 26cm as they do fine for my jobs. I currently have 3 brushes mostly use the xtreme sill flocked. Dave, for first cleans only on a cold water system, what would be your #1 brush to use for maximum scrubbing power?
@squeakycleandave1 Жыл бұрын
Lately I’ve been using the 35cm Xline DuPont with a central rinse bar. If a first is really be I go over all the windows with a little bit of washing up liquid on the brush first and let it soak in then go over them and clean them properly.

I’m just looking to set up, can anyone advise which are the best poles and brushes to use ? Thanks
@squeakycleandave13 жыл бұрын
It depends on how much you have to invest. I would as a minimum get an Ova8, a Phantom or an SLX. Which ever make you get I would have a 22ft you can always buy extension sections if you need it longer and it will save you buying 2 poles. Personally I think a Gardiner Ultimate 26cm brush with 2 x 2mm pencil jets is a good starting place. If money is no object go straight for the hi mod 22’ Ova8 If you go with the any of the Ova8 poles ring Streamline ask for Ziggy and say Squeaky Clean Dave sent you and you should get a discount

Hi Dave , I have 3 different brushes in the Tucker range , 12 inch hybrid with the boar hair in the middle with 4 pencil jet came with the rinse bar which I don't use.. you can order without the rinse bar my main brush I use , 12 inch 4 pencil jets all boars hair great for first cleans and extra scrubbing power, 18 inch hybrid with boars hair in the middle also with the 4 pencil jets, great for the big commercial windows and houses too.. all came with the swivel adapter.. I changed out for the square Gardiner quick connection. To suit my Gardiner pole and uni valve setup..I think I saw DA components video on the Tucker brush and May stock them as well .. 👍👍

Thanks for an informative video. I'm a newbie in WFP, only trad in my working years, but do want to get into WFP instead of using ladders.
