+Balls2U Can I ask you some questions regarding breeding cycles? How do you control your room temperature and tubs temperature? DO you have 1 thermostat for each tub or 1 for each rack? Do you turn off your flexwatt during the night when you are cycling or do you lower the temps in the thermostat? Again, thank you.
@Balls2U8 жыл бұрын
+Dante Nahuel Ciai hi, sorry this is a late reply, I've only just saw it.....OK.....all my female racks are controlled with one stat, which I lower the hot spot in the breeding season.....the ambient air temp drops automatically with the change in outside temperature and the Hot Spots been turned down also. I don't turn the heat mats off.... the tubes are long enough so that the snakes can thermoregulate their own body temperature as and when they want to or need to. the males I keep at the standard 90 degree hot spot.....I like to use humidity and air pressure to help with the males looking into females. I hope this helps? 👍

Hi Gavin, I am a breeder from Sarawak, and this year is the 2nd year I breed my females, last year ended in 3 eggs 1 slugs and the 3 babies died at day 58, in the eggs , after they slit the eggs. I incubate them using sphagnum moss and open container. Temp was around 27-29c. Do you know what causes their death? Was the temp fluctuation too much?
@Balls2U5 жыл бұрын
I believe it was maybe due to a weak embryos

Thanks for the great Information you've provided. over a year ago I've purchased my ball python and eventually fell in love with them as time went past as I got to know them and did my research on them. I currently have two Ball pythons, one Lesser and one normal ball python. My Normal is currently weighting in at 484 grams and my Lesser is weighing in at 289 grams. I want to start collecting ball pythons and mating them. At the moment I don't want to do it for the money, I want to do it to build my collection and experiment with the different types for my self. I was wondering if you have any advice that might help me get to the breeding level..
@Balls2U9 жыл бұрын
hi and thanks for watching....well it sounds like your on the right path so far but I would start small and work your way up......when you breed lesser to lesser you get a blue eyed leucistic snake which is white with blue eyes, so the best place to start is try to make one of them. so which ever sex your lesser is now try to get the opposite and put them together. or if your lesser and normal are different sex breed them together and make your own lessers.....every time you cut them eggs open its like Christmas. thanks for watching and I hope this helps you forward 👍

Can you do a video for the people who want one as a pet...because like you said the reptile stores don't really know important things...like when you said make the temp higher than 88-90 because it has to go through the bin and the paper towel so make it higher and see what temp it is in the bin on the hotspot...street smart things like that...could you do a video for beginner snake owners

The scales on the bottom of my snake look like water blister.. is it the heat pad ? or something else ?
@Balls2U8 жыл бұрын
I would advise take it to a vets, if it has got blisters and they pop, they could get infected......also make sure your heat mat is not in its housing and that it's not above 90 degrees Fahrenheit or 32 degrees Celsius.

Say I get a male ball python he go's off food and I don't want to breed or don't have a female what should I do? And if I were to breed if I didn't want to keep the eggs what would I do then?
@Balls2U8 жыл бұрын
well first off, if he goes off food, then only offer him small meals once every two weeks.....if you wanted to breed him, then offer him to a friend as a breeding lone, that way you won't have to worry about the eggs.....or I'll have them haha 👍😁

hi iam trying to sort the humidity out in my pythons viv its on about 70% I have swaped her big water bowl for a smaller on and that has not worked any tips please
@sherrim19887 жыл бұрын
Open a window, and mist less often. As long as it doesn't last too long, your snake should be fine. Also, check your thermometer and hygrometer, it could be displaying wrong. I had this $10 pet thermometer/hygrometer and put it in my Leo's tank, and not long after it started to display 50-60%!! I panicked and I thought for sure he'd get a respiratory infection... I researched a ton and tried everything to lower the humidity, but nothing worked. It stayed near 50%..... Welp, just 6 months later it broke. And my Leo is growing big, fast, and healthy. And he's over one year old now. Never got a respiratory infection.

Hey just had a quick question. Im looking to get a female ball but not quite sure on what to get. I currently have a 1.5 old male Cinnamon Banana. I would love to start my collection. what (decently) priced female combos do you think would mesh well with my male?
@Balls2U9 жыл бұрын
hi, a good place to start in my eyes would be a spider female......or one step up a bumblebee....or next step up would be a killer bee. hope this helps, and thanks for watching.
@cglopez93378 жыл бұрын
so my female has been locking up many times with my male so she's ready to breed but will not eat. I'm sure it's what you're saying that I have to vary in size. so should I just offer smaller meals but just more than one rat?
@Balls2U8 жыл бұрын
females and males will eat when they need to, still offer her food but smaller then normal.
