In the past, Etsy had a hard time finding an approach to their customers. That's because they only had a small number of items for sale, and they couldn't reach their audience. But now, with certain auxiliary mechanisms, Etsy has made it easier for people to find what they're looking for on Etsy.

What is so confusing to me is that when I visit my shop and view and visits for today, it will give a certain number for both, lets just pretend it was 20 views and 10 visits so far for today. If I click to see the amount of visits and view for yesterday, then click back to today, the 20 and 10 has changed to new numbers or sometimes 0. I cannot understand this, it doesn't make sense to me. Can someone explain please.

I'm not sure why this might be happening, Barbra, but here are 2 things that came to my mind. 1. Etsy analytics are a bit wonky in real time and it's best to look at them and analyze after a couple of days. (Pinterest works like that, too.) 2. When that person is changing views and days etc., they may be unintentionally putting a filter on the analytics so they only show a segment of the data, resulting in different numbers. @@Tizzitco Thanks, I'm trying to figure this out. I just wan to know how many visits and views I get each day at the end of the day. Itzy will let me look at today's views and yesterday's views and then from there it clumps them together.

I have two questions that I'm trying to figure out but can't find anyone talking about, and I'm wondering if you might have an answer... I just opened my shop a few days ago and I think that most of the views and clicks are from myself... 1. When looking at my Stats page, it shows I have 14 visits and when scrollling down it says "Shoppers viewed your listings 7 times". So, I have more visits than views. I interpret that to mean that people (or I myself) clicked to open my shop, but never clicked to view a listing. Is that correct or could it mean something else? 2. Have you noticed a glitch between the stats page and the listing stats page? On my Stats page it says I have one view on a particular listing, but when I click on that listing it says I have 0 views on it. The date selection is correct. I only have this glitch on one of my listings, and I uploaded it yesterday so maybe that's connected to why this happens? Now I'm off to watch your video on how to boost my etsy sales :)

Etsy is an international shop so when you put out something for sale it can also be bought by someone in Germany. But Germany has a new law called LUCID Verpackungsgesetz, which says that you are not allowed to sell anything to Germany unless you are a registered member of this LUCID package register. Etsy writes: You must register before sending any products to the German market. Even if you receive a single order from a buyer in Germany, you are required to register with LUCID and report it. Online retailers failing to comply may be subject to written warning letters or heavy fines (up to €200,000 and a prohibition in sales). I wonder how you are doing with this law. If you get an order from Germany you have to ship the ordered item, but if you do so you are under this German packaging law that you have to follow. And that does not seem to be easy, because if you live abroad (not in Germany) you must have an authorized representative in Germany and your agreement has to be written in German language. I wonder how Etsy sellers are going to handle this German law.

After I wrote this I have found out that these regulations are not only for Germany. It is EU-regulations. Quote: "Due to the EU packaging directive, anyone who sells packaged products to French end customers must license their packaging in France. In this article, we have summarized what needs to be considered in particular when it comes to packaging law in France. " These new rules are applied in many countries.
