Nah, Taker being in poor shape, and not being at his best for what he could do is what made everything after WM30 poor. Having the Streak be 24-0 before Roman, or 25-0 after WM33 is a wasted potential, it’s poor storytelling to leave the final boss ‘untouched’. It cemented Brock as a legitimate beast, the new ‘unbeatable final boss’, Roman getting a win was kind of cheap, because it meant less since Brock won. It’s a literal Chekhov’s gun, they set up the Streak, you don’t just leave that story unfinished, there’s no one to be the one to beat it, take the heat, and use it. Taker being in poor shape, leading to lower quality matches, and dragging him out when he isn’t at his A game is a worse business decision, because that’s what people won’t want to see

But, it's like Goldberg thinking he could really beat all those wrestlers. Glad Taker got all the glory from those wins because he was a great locker room leader and character. Still, he lost and he should have since the beast incarnate was legit and this further solidified him as such.

Here’s the issue: Decisions are larger than what happens in one night. Storytelling has to consider the larger picture. Taker losing to Brock and then to Roman only to have him come back, just felt so meh. I commend Mark for wanting to give back, but the storytelling wasn’t good regarding the later years of the streak.

Vince got scared of wrestlmainia becoming totaly the takers show. By 21-0 it was already takermania, he was even main eventing year after year manytimes even over both world titles. Mania had become Takers show. Vince couldnt alowe that to continue and didnt want taker to go 25-0 and retire and then the following mania taker not apear at mania wouldnt have been the same at all for years and would have been much less. Vince could see what was happning, how taker had become bigger than vinces show and would of only got even more bigger, so made him lose to brock. Vince took back his show and made it so it was all about all the performers and the belts. Taker sacrificed himself for the beterment of the bissness, but he should of gone 25-0 and retired undefeated. Or left when he went 20-0, that cell match with hhh was awsome. Would of been perfect if the next night on raw he said ther was nothing left to prove and left on that.

reigns wasn't even supposed to be part of shield, hunter & vince liked him so much that they picked him, and it's pretty obvious each mcmahon got a favourite shield member, rollins for hunter & stephanie, reigns for hunter & vince, ambrose for shane who doesn't have that much "power" compared to those 3 so ambrose doesn't get pushed as much as the other 2 even tho he's arguably the best member
