Amusingly, that makes perfect sense. At first, Asriel's personality was probably still intact and he wanted to help his father with the plan. But eventually, he turned into the Flowey personality and wanted to make the world burn.

For those of you wondering how, or if, Flowey can even cross the barrier is because he has no SOUL, and is neither human, nor monster. He's just a flower. Asriel's SOUL was lost, and dissipated, or did whatever monster SOULs do after death, and Chara's SOUL went dormant off who knows where, being awakened only by a completed "extinction" run.

If you actually look at the beginning cutscene and the memory Asriel has, it actually shows that they're the same event, first and "last".

Frisk and the first fallen human are not the same, they just look the same. If you want to get technical, 7 fell before Frisk if we're including Chara, but Flowey couldn't have tripped Chara into the underground since Flowey didn't exist then.

There's actually plenty of in game evident pointing to Frisk actually being a soul in Chara's body, plus, you seem to still be going on the idea that Flowey is the one who tripped them up. While I will say there is a possibility that Chara's soul isn't one of the 6 Asgore had, it's also possible it was there, as one of the soul's weapon was a knife, which Chara is known for.

+dentons32 Well, maybe. But I think there's more evidence of Chara's soul being in Frisk's body though. Especially in the genocide run since it's said that Toriel buried Chara's body; the body didn't raise from the dead but Chara's spirit did and can possess Frisk's body; living off of Frisk's soul. And I mentioned flowey tripping them because it was relavent to the comic/video since you decided to add your comment on this video. Whether he actually tripped them in isn't relevant to the discussion other than that. And Chara's coffin was red, meaning Chara's soul is red. During the encounter with Asgore before the fight, the only missing soul is from the red capsule, so Asgore never had Chara's soul, or it disappeared, or something. And wasn't it described as a toy knife? Chara has a real knife in his room during genocide so it seems odd that'd he'd also have a toy knife that wouldn't inflict as much damage. Plus, Chara never used any of the knives for killing since when they fell they were immediately rescued by Asriel.
