Instructions (for those who need a complete walkthrough): 1)Gather your materials, including: *2 balloons *newspapers *glue (elmers or any white glue should be fine) *water *scissors *resin clay (or air dry clay) *skim coat (or any kind of wall plaster) *sandpaper *white spray paint *white and black acrylic paint *brushes *glue gun *mesh (black see-through fabric) 2)Blow up 1 balloon to the size a bit bigger than your head and tie it. 3)Cut your newspaper into strips or you can just rip it into uneven pieces, whatever works for you. 4)Pour some glue in a plastic cup, or any cup, and add a tiny bit of water (when mixed it should feel a bit watery and sticky, if it only feels watery add more glue and vice versa) 5)Get a strip, or piece, of newspaper, submerge it into the cup, with your index finger on the back and thumb on the front of the strip pull the excess glue off and back into the cup, and stick the piece on the balloon. 6)continue until every part of the balloon is covered with the newspaper 7)set it to dry (you can tie a piece of string on the end of the balloon and hang it up) 8) do the same to the second balloon, make them about the same size 9) each balloon must have 5 to 6 layers of newspaper (let it dry for about 12 hours for each layer before starting a new one) 10)when you're done with the paper mache, pop the balloon and pull it out 11)cut each balloon according to 0:53 12) glue both pieces like 1:31 with a glue gun 13) draw the outline of the mouth, eyes, and nose 14)cut out the mouth and nose 15)add pieces of resin clay, or air dry clay, on the outline of the mouth (1:56) 16)wait for it to harden 17)add a layer of skim coat, or any wall plaster, and set it to dry 18)after its completely dry, use sandpaper to smooth it out 19)if there are cracks or parts where the newspaper is showing, fill it in with a bit of skim coat, or the wall plaster ( you will need to smooth it out again 20) add a layer of glue with a paintbrush and set it to dry 21)spray paint it with white spray paint and set it to dry 22)draw in the parts (teeth, eye lines, and thicker nose like in 3:03) with a marker 23)paint over the parts with black acrylic paint 24)Cut out two pieces of mesh (one for the eyes and the other for the mouth) and hot glue the pieces inside (3:18) 25)paint two white circles on the mesh (San's eyes) 26)LASTLY, APPRECIATE YOUR HARD WORK!!! AND TAKE PRIDE IN WEARING THE MASK!! GOOD LUCK, HOPE THIS HELPED! :)

I finished the mask but used mod podge for the overcoat. I've never even used mod podge before so don't worry, you don't have to be a professional with it. I then went on to covering it with white paint, sanding it and then spraying it, and oh my lord it came our so good! And so stable too! Like looking like the one she did, and that never happens for me. I even kicked around with my brother a bit it's that stable! So guys, if you would rather not overcoat or can't buy it, I highly recommend you use mod podge, it came out so great I blew myself away!

Instead of Plaster, use strips of plaster cloth, then cover that with a hardening paper mache paste, it makes it stronger but durable. Just using plaster can cause it to crack or crumble, as well as having the risk of collapsing the mache structure.

OH paper machae! I'm in art class and we are making masks. It has to be something related to Zeus, Medusa, Poseidon something like that. I'm doing a Unicorn Mask! suggestion: for the eyes you can use Sunglasses lenses
