For an Asgore Genocide figth, I like the idea that he release the human souls no willing to absorb them, so all of them go flying except for one, one that actually forgives Asgore and against his will, it fuses with him giving him a power boost enough to atleast tank you LV 20 hits.

Actually that was my thought too. I think Justice would be pretty cool, Asgore could use lighting attacks and the yellow fits with his color scheme. Neutral Asgore regrets fighting you, Genocide Asgore fights you because he wants justice for all those who fell at your hands!

Asgore may have murdered them, but it wasn't for pleasure or satisfaction, it was for his people, to free them from their prison. And it hurt him to do it. The human is different, murdering because they enjoy it, not caring about consequences nor anyone they meet, not suffering nor regret in their heart.

This is one that always makes me cry. Asgore got the warning in time, and he had the opportunity to do something. But in the end he was faced with the choice to absorb and use the souls of children he had murdered in cold blood. And Asgore would NOT be able to do that. "Why isn't he helping?" Because Asgore tried to do what he had to for his people but his guilt wouldn't let him. So this is his last chance to redeem himself but he's already given up on himself I JUST HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT ASGORE OK? OK also Blue did a masterful job here and our artist team is a powerhouse good job guys :D

HoneyWolf 135 I don’t think people understand the fact that whether Chara started genocide or not, they still wanted to kill in the first place. It may not have been killing monsters, but they still wanted to wage war and commit genocide against humans. If it hadn’t been for Asriel, they would have done exactly what Frisk did to the monsters. Chara would have helped monsters get freedom by destroying everyone else, and people consider THIS a good, misunderstood child?

what happened at the end of the genocide route was chara (the fallen human) dishing out justice for killing the monsters their family they were forced to watch you kill them all giving the player the justice they deserve. there is quite the bit of evidence for this as well

Cellochicita They really didn't, Chara did not have a song ingame nor did Mettaton actually have a real fight scene. The pacifist musical was not 100% canon either. Via Muffet and Flowey singing. More love shown to Mettaton who has the most screen time in game than the main cast. If you can see I really like Asgore, he has so much Lore around him and he doesn't get the respect he deserves. I wish the song was 5 mins but I'm grateful he even got 3. People don't think about him to much.

Umm hello why the hell did I never comment on this? This is inexcusable, let me amend it. The concept of a more gentle version of Bergentruckung works so well! And AAH Blue's voice is perfect for Asgore! I just want to chat with him over a cup of tea, I could listen to that voice all day. And this art is one of my favourite batches, so shiny and yet so much sad emotion to it. You all did such a good job! :3

MrBlueAndWhite as Asgore is so much better now then before, now i don't feel any difficulty in adding emotions to the singing. I love the decision that Asgore let go of the souls. After all, popular theory is that the SOULs could just rebel against him as they did with Flowey, so Asgore's plan was wrong from the start. The art is great, my favourite is the one with Frisk and Chara, the light is super and Chara STILL looks remorsefully at Frisk.

I wish Asgore actually did put up a fight in the Genocide route, An Asgore with six souls would by way more climactic than Lazy Skeleton guy who is aware of multiple timelines going “Hey don’t kill everyone”

Asgore as the final boss of the genocide with the power of souls would be the apotheosis of his development. From the young king who just wanted to live happily with his family, from the king who went through a terrible war but did not lose hope, from the king who found new hope in the face of an adopted human child, from the one who lost EVERYTHING, to the one who decided to revive the flame of hope in himself, albeit having nothing but strength, his subjects are either already killed or hiding in the depths of Alphys's laboratories, his children and wife are dead, his faithful companions except A lfis and Gerson are dead, and now Asgore, who has realized everything and understood what the emu needs to do, enters into battle with us on the ruins of his kingdom in order to save what little he has left. He is godlike but destroyed inside by the truth. He is the one who will die in this battle with joy but he has the incentive to defeat us, he is not as terrifying as his fallen son with the power of 6 souls per turn he exudes sublimity. And most importantly, we have no chance to defeat such Asgore, taking into account Asgore in the battle with us had reduced characteristics + Undyne clearly hints that he can dodge + with the power that Flowey received from the souls, then Asgore is an absolute finale for us. The best boss was probably only Flowey in his weakest form for obvious reasons.

there has to be one monster that had timeline control between the time that monsters were first locked underground and chara falling, when gerson and asgore were young. of those two, asgore is more likely to be the controller than gerson or any other monster that was alive at the time. frisk after fighting omega flowey shows that losing your control and regaining it still allows you to reset back to when you first got control, so if asgore absorbed the souls, he could reset hundreds of years back
