No Spoilers: The game is around the length of Undertale and maybe a little longer depending on the route. I would recommend doing a pacifist route first because it has the most content and gives you the best understanding of the world and story. Though if you wish to continue a neutral route, that is also fine. You are currently locked into a neutral route as you have killed and spared already. So you don't have to worry about activating another route by accident. I hope this was helpful.

As someone who had done a pacifist run on first (and only) gameplay, I disagree, honestly, the Neutral route have so much to show a first time player, and make them do other route by the end, extending the game time, and be rewarding by how different Neutral and Pacifist are in this game

The neutral route is much more interesting and different in this game than it is in Undertale, so don’t sweat it. I do recommend sparing the main bosses, but it’s not hugely important. And yes, there are multiple routes. Also also, this game is the soul before the Undertale red soul (frisk)

Honestly, mad respect to you playing how you want. I know so many KZbinrs who just do a route because they’re scared of the comments yelling at them. Also don’t worry about accidentally getting onto the genocide route, you have to intentionally go out of your way to kill every monster in an area, if you miss a single one you’re locked out of genocide.

yes, and i am also pretty sure you can't ever be locked into pacifist, since pacifist is just where you spare everyone and you can always kill some monster later on in the game . not 100% sure if there's a specific point close to the ending where that would be you LOCKED IN to pacifist (specifically the one at the stairs that prompts you to turn back or go forward.) but even so, thats like practically right at the end

Just like Undertale, you can make any choice you want, and it's not wrong. Geno doesn't start until you start grinding, but I'd recommend keeping track of which bosses and minibosses you spare and which you kill ;)

Just a little clue for the ruins you're at. That strange hole that looked like a snake in the dark cave, there are other other distinct shapes like that scattered around the place. I won't say how many or where, but if you feel up to a lil' treasure hunt something will happen when you find all of them. Again, entirely up to you if you wanna backtrack a little for some extras and I respect your decision to play how you want mate. Edit: Oh, and you'll need to interact with the shapes in a certain order. The sequence should be clear when you look at how they look. A sound will happen when you press the right one.

Dw about doing anything right or wrong at this point This game has four endings (which I will not list due to spoilers), unlike the original, which has three (genocide, neutral/pacifist, and true pacifist) (with the only change being Sans’s dialogue at the end)

So glad to see people playing this and I will say that you shouldn’t feel bad or have people guilt you into feeling like you should only do pacifist, unlike undertale you don’t need to get neutral to get pacifist, don’t be scared to kill bosses either, genocide is a very very specific thing and like in undertale you have to drain an area of enemies to get it, now that you’ve spared dalv and didn’t wipe out the ruins you can’t get genocide. If you need help remember that clover is here to find the 5 lost kids who fell down before you and is a little kid with a somewhat skewed sense of justice, if you think someone is looking at you wrong that’s probably enough justification to take them out, but spare whoever you want. If you are considering going back and doing pacifist first I wouldn’t recommend it, as neutral gives you more context and info for the story even if you lose some character interactions Also here’s a little hint for something you saw in the ruins That was a 2 in the ruins, yo can’t do anything with it on your own but maybe if you found more numbers in the ruins you could find a tiny secret, just make sure to press them in order! Something to consider for the pacifist route

You have to explore the ruins some more to find and interact with 1-5 for a secret boss fight, and the numbers can actually range from where you found flowey to the front of dalv's house, so there is some searching to be done.

About hitting monsters and sparing them, yeah, that was a thing you could do in OG Undertale. Though the sparing usually happened after a certain amount of health left on the monster and not just on one hit unless the monster was particularly weak. pacifist runs using that strategy were called batman pacifist runs iirc.
