Why was Asgore surprised when Sans fought Frisk?

1. A kid fought a skeleton with a knife 2. Surprised to see sans fight cuz he's lazy, he thought would either evacuated with other monsters or not fighting against a child who just killed undyne the captain of the royal guard Either 2 of those is the reasons :D. Cuz I don't remember exactly but is either 2 of those, sorry for an unclear answer 😅
