This makes me sad and happy at the same time im 13 and my horse foggy died recently he had to be put down he was 22 years old with arthritus and i just imagine myself singing this to him and in a way i feel like he is watching over me he always kept other horses away cause he knew i was a bit nervous around them had a strong bond so it was hard on me but in a way this song helps i had promised to make sure his herd was happy and thats what im doing anyway i also love the animation you did a really good job

The watercolour-like animation style, the style used for the hug final battle against God Asriel and the style used for the scene with Frisk and Sans combing his hair are my favourite animation styles out of this video compilation. I am one of the ones who cried watching this the first few times and it is a song very deserving of that kind of reaction. It is an extremely touching song with lyrics that not only pay homage to fathers but also bring motivation and heartfelt precious value to family.

One more thing I would like to say The fact that this song mentions past, warm memories and how the experience still came out sad despite being a momento of respect for the father feels almost representative of Asgore. Asgore brought very fond memories of joy and family. Yet due to his actions and how it led to Toriel leaving him, breaking apart the family for good, made recalling those fond memories extremely tearjerking. This is an amazingly beautiful combination and I cannot love it more.
