A very good question, Chara. Couldn't Error absorb all those souls he had captured? Maybe he doesn't want to absorb them _or_ maybe it's just simply doesn't have any effect when he absorbs them. Very, very interesting.

Considering how his code is broken maybe absorving a soul could break him even more, or it would not do anything, but also imagine, if everytime he went to an au he absorved everyone's souls before destroying it, he would be after a while one of the strongest sanses varients, as to how he would have the time to absorve the souls, i mean, flowey was able to absorve the entire underground in a flash of light

If memory serves me correctly, a similar question was posed to the author of Error, like "Why doesn't Error just absorb seven souls like Seraphim! Sans?" to which the answer was given "he doesn't want to make his job easier" Error's personal problems in short.

Another thought is that he considers the aus as “incorrect” so it could also be a preference to not absorb anything that isn’t “correct”
