ATLEAST this is a reaction without chara being like "why am I always blamed", pacifist chara is genuinely friendly. The only thing that turned them evil is the player, and possibly the monsters dust. They were starting to understand genocide frisks intentions, HATRED.

Actually, Chara isn't responsible for the Genocide Route. It's YOU who started it. Chara judged your actions. They would NEVER harm the Monster kind. They fell down because either 1. They had bad parents or 2. They hate humanity. Chara loved Asriel. If you pick that you think that you're above any consequences, then Chara will kill you. I hate when people judge Chara. It's not their fault. It's The Players aka YOU. Nobody's above consequences. Even The Player isn't.

Chara didn't judge anything, chara just went along and gave the final blow once you were done killing most of the underground, chara hates snowdrakes for an unknown reason and laughed at sick asgore TWICE(the second one asriel said it was without a reason), also with the amount of DT asriel had when he absorbed chara's soul he should be able to reset, but he didn't which means that chara gave up even though that would mean asriel would be dead permanently, they didn't care at all, they just didn't hate monsters but that's all, chara was not evil but they were an edgy depressed kid who was lost on themselves, if you begin to kill monsters they're so lost that they help you all along the way, chara was not innocent anymore at least since the moment they planned to climb the mountain, yeah not evil but after all they cared so little about life that they were about to be, player is MOSTLY responsible since chara just helps, but that's all

Yeah we are mostly to blame. Doesn't mean Chara ain't bad though. They canonically are at least a little bit evil as evidenced by the liquid hatred or whatever its called

This is probably one of the undertale reactions that's very close to canon with how they act. And the thing about Chara not being the one responsible for the genocide route is pretty much spot on as well in the game. Though it isn't like Chara is innocent in the route either. She does take control of Frisk during certain points. Pushing past Papyrus' puzzles, dealing the fatal blow that strikes Sans, and Killing Asgore, (Killing Flowey/Asriel might be debatable, but the text doesn't automatically move on, requiring the player to push that button to kill him and complete the Genocide/No-Mercy Route.) But for the majority of the time, the ones that go through and kill everything and everyone, in every area we go to, is us, the player; or Frisk if there is no player.
