Canonically it makes sense though why we the player or frisk depending on the au go genocidal it’s either curiosity or the ensuing insanity from being trapped in an endless time loop where you do a run just to do it over again. There’s no other option but to keep going. Forever playing the loop until you go mad and start trying to get out. No matter what it takes

Oh I agree lmao, though Asgore himself being aware of the human resetting/not dieing is kinda iffy as he baaarely is aware that the human as in Frisk/Player cannot die, as seen when you say that Asgore has killed you before with his response being a sad nod and a lowering of his AT if I remember As for the explination regarding Sans, do you mind explaining for those that might need more info for clarifications sake or no...?

In the video the explanation is that Sans only remembers parts of previous timelines, which makes the fact that Dust is a byproduct of Sans remembering the previous timelines more reasonable. Then there's the fact that (at least as far as I know) everything we know about Sans being able to remember the previous timelines are just conclusions that the fanbase have drawn from what little information Toby gives us or, is just peoples headcanon.

You dive into the lore very well with all of the characters, and they feel closer to canon than a lot of other reactions portray them. If you plan on a part three, I'd reccomend Best Friends Forever and AFTERLIFE with lyrics from Undertale Yellow by Drama Josh. It's really good, and it even touches on how Flowey trained Clover through RESETs to become stronger, as while most of Clover doesn't remember RESETs, unlike how they remembers LOADs, a small part of their subconcious does. I'd also recommend them reacting to the end of the Undertale Yellow Genocide route. You can find plenty of gameplay footage without commentary around.

I really like your AU! Just one question about it! ...does Sans know that Papyrus knows the world is being reset? You said he doesn't know what they're called, but that he can tell when it happens. Does Sans know that? And apparently, Papyrus didn't know Sans knew. EDIT: Having the SOULs talk to Asgore is brilliant and tragically wholesome.

@SchazmenRassir So Papyrus gets a sense of Deja Vu every time he wakes up after a reset, entirely certain that he's done everything in the morning before but just can't quite place his finger on it. He isn't aware that Sans knows about them and just assumes that when the reset happens, that morning Sans is just having a really bad day or hadn't slept very well that night And Sans is not aware that Papyrus knows anything, because Papyrus doesn't act like anythings happening because he doesn't want to worry Sans
