1hp, 1atk, 1def. He maybe a badass, but he only was a challenge to Chara (or [INSERT NAME HERE]) because of the Karmic Retribution(KR) and his significant ability to dodge. The lack of iFrames due to KR are what made him deal such heavy blows. The joy of finally winning is indescribable though. Took me roundabout 20+ tries. Then the grief of a Genocide Run kicked in.

i agree. Ive always thought that sans fight doesnt look that hard, maybe undyne the undying or the omega flowey is hard. But when i started playing, ive beaten omega flowey on first try, undyne the undying on my 18th try, and as for sans? ive done like 14 or 15 tries and i still cant get past the 4th attack, despite watching hundreds of videos on how to beat em. ***** dude of course it isn't worth it, the ending sucks. Chara takes your soul and after that it messes up your game on purpose so that it's impossible to play on pacifist. The genocide run might be fun to do up until you defeat sans but would any sane person agree that finishing it is really worth it? The best thing to do is to just play until after you defeat sans and not go to asgore and flowey and reset it.
