Afterlife + all the 'Specimen' themes for the second phase of the battle against Flowey!
This is definitely the most interesting battle in the game for me and I think I can speak for most of you guys as well. Man, the devs somehow made this fight even more creepy than the original Omega Flowey battle. Lol 😱
I asked if my brother wanted to play the drum part for this song on an ACOUSTIC KIT, cause Afterlife is super Drum focused (cause of the breakcore drums), so it felt weird programming them and basically doing almost nothing on the guitars and keyboard xD.
It was definitely a challenging pattern and the speed didn't help either, but we managed to record it in a week so GG!
I am really glad I was able to make it in the end, cause I've been sick for like 4 days and I couldn't do anything...
Also shoutout to Metal Fortress again for playing the accordion parts in 2 of the specimen segments. GOAT!
Definitely a fun one to arrange cause of all the different styles and it's always fun to mix acoustic drums!

I absolutely LOVE this remix! (or remixes?) AFTERLIFE and all the specimens (except 1 of them) are always amazing songs, and this is just as good if not better! Here's my personal ranking of the songs: 7th: specimen: organic. It's not even really a song??????? This makes it more song like than base UTY so good job on that I suppose!! 6th: specimen: mechanical. Not sure why, but this sounds worse than the normal UTY version? Not bad by any means, it's still a good song, but I prefer the normal version. 5th: specimen: patchworked. Not much to say. It's better than the normal UTY version of this by quite a bit imo, but I don't really LOVE this song in any case. 4th: specimen: polygonal. It's good, but it doesn't feel the same without OOT/MM instruments. Not much to say aside from that. 3rd: specimen: paper. Better than the normal UTY version! I like it a lot! I like that you kept in... whatever those background sounds are. 2nd: AFTERLIFE. God this song is so good. I love afterlife so much as a song in general, and this is such a good remix of it. I love the new bits you added and the voice samples you kept in. 1st: specimen: clay. There was no contest. This one goes unfathomably hard in base game, and this remix is somehow leagues better than it. By far the best song of this collection of remixes (if you choose to call it that). I'm so glad chapter repeat exists for this one alone.
