Anyone who says the Undertale community is toxic needs to watch this video. The amount of joy, in-jokes, teasing, making fun of the fangame while simultaneously celebrating is, from the runner to the couch to the donations to the audience is amazing. I won't act like it's perfect or that there aren't issues, but I think it's amazing to see all these people come together in celebration of a great fan game, all for a great cause. This community has come a long way, and I can't wait to see what else comes from it, whether through fan games, other projects, and of course the official games. :)

The game has a "fun value" that dictates specific random events. In this case the door that spawned indicated they would meet a specific NPC Gerson (or however you write it) That's why they're saying "yay the run is fun" as a joke
