Are Ink and Error going to (reluctantly) join forces against a common foe? Are they going to have a lengthy discussion over the events of the last episode? Casual 'dearly detested' frenemy moment, perhaps? This music is so... relaxed. It doesn't really fit either of them under normal circumstances, so I'm excited to see what event's going to go down between them here. Edit: I feel it prudent to add that I posted this a LONG while back and since then more episodes have been released, and I've been theorizing intensely. Doesn't change the fact that this track is a vibe though, haha.

I've been trying to figure out what this track might have in common with the other ones associated with Ink and Error's encounters. I couldn't find anything particularly familiar in the melody, and it took me a second listen to figure it out. It's mostly in the chord structure on which the piece is built. Two brief chords and one chord of double the length, and it keeps repeating: this same pattern can be heard clearly at the beginning and end of Treaty. The reason I find it noteworthy is that both here and in Treaty the last two of the three chords are a classic perfect cadence, a progression which normally brings resolution; if we consider the chords at the very beginning of Inking Mistake, the rhythm is in the exact same pattern(brief-brief-double the length), but the last two chords are dissonant and do not bring resolution, something that probably represents the unbalance, the unwillingness to maintain the truce which segues into the fight.

I love how part of Ink isn't shaded in; it's flat colour, like a work-in-progress, supported by all the AU sheets in the background. Error, on the other hand, is black on white; the only finished creation in a sea of erased ones, his goal to turn everything into exactly that.

I think Nightmare is just kinda like the sidelines guy in Underverse that watches over the fights, and only attacks a view times or dodges things stuff of that sort, not really got into many fights(at least in what i saw last and remember from underverse season 1) And that's possibly why he got no fight themes? either that or they are still working on it, no idea though.

Judging by the title and the art. I'm theorizing that this will play either during a meeting between error and ink and or them thinking about the "broken truce" separately. As the bravado of the track rises I think that is indicative of them both deciding to either rectify their truce or double down and "go to war" so speak. Just some theories though.
