Undervolt RX 6600 XT below 100 Watt

Try to Undervolt RX 6600 XT for saving less power and heat.

Min: 2500Mhz Max: 2600Mhz Voltage: 1030mV +20 Power Limit HotSpot temp: ~60 degrees Ambient temp: 20 degrees 116 watts Max Not complaining. Let's see how it fairs in the summer time.

I have a minimum 2500 maximum 2740, 1125mv +20% fans 50 degrees 35% out 70 65% video card heats up to 67-72 hotspot warms up to 85-87 degrees, outside +37. I just took and changed the thermal paste on the video card processor to MX6

This is crazy, you cut off about 400mhz on the core, rising just 100mhz on the vram, and lost just 10 fps, that is about 8%, but you save about 55-60watt, that is about a huge 40-45% power saving..👌 that's a great deal. what's the sense of lowering voltage and Increasing power limit? I thought a linear action would have been reducing it a little like 10 % instead, due to less power requested.

I think it similar to 6600 stock. I don't have that gpu to test it.

@@jali-jali Thanks, the price gap between the XT and non XT around $80 here. But seeing similar performance or even more with UC + UV 6600 XT and still draw power less than 100W i might get one. I can revert it anytime anyway. I need to have the lowest power draw and most perf out of it just because the house i am living in rn have limited power draw just around 2200watt for the whole house.

This is the same score the 6800s gets in a laptop and its basically a low waggage 6600 xt.

Also go to UV like that. My GPU hot spot now is 90°C. I thinking it will be 10 less.

if u have problem with heating issues just use 100 hz and turn on vsync. the lower the fps the lower the power it will consume

i set power limit 0 min 2400 max 2500 1080mv is 90-10x it ok

You undervolted too much, it depends on how lucky you were with your GPU, it varies from sample to sample due to different silicon quality. Try testing around to see if you can get it to work, PC freezing is normal when trying to find the best possible undervolt and you just need to restart it and it will be back to normal so it doesn't really matter if it freezes.
