As underwater photographers and ocean ambassadors, we not only showcase the beauty of the underwater world but also document the devastating impact of human waste on marine environments. We witness firsthand where discarded items, like vapes, end up when they enter the sea. As a marine advocate and underwater filmmaker, it is my responsibility to highlight how what may seem like a small effort can make a huge difference.
If every diver picked up just five pieces of plastic during each beach or dive visit, that would equate to 240 pieces removed per year-2,400 over ten years. Now imagine if 100 people did the same-that's 72,000 pieces of trash removed!
