I've done this and had a great time. Started with whole uncut pumpkins. Stuck it in a mesh bag with a bunch of extra lead so it was close to neutral. A little tricky to carve it like that but manageable. I have also swam under an underwater training platform and just let it float against the bottom while laying on my back underneath it to carve, really enjoyed it and won 3rd prize too

When my club does this we put rocks inside the pumpkin to sink it so each diver gets their own pumpkin making doling out prizes easier how does one split a regulator 3 ways or a bcd 3 ways lol 😂😂
